Nope...its my dad thats mexican. My family is huge on that side but I dont see them since I was a kid. My ex is mexican (well a few of my exes are) so I've eaten plenty of traditional stuff...just not horchata. My enzymes seem to be working a miracle so I'm hopeful that it wont be long. -

LOL...yeah but Carla....I'm a really "white" mexican! When the customers at work start talking to me in spanish I just look at them like this I actually do know what horchata is...but I've never had it! I'm sure I would totally LOVE it....even better than my melted ice cream. I'm gonna put it on my "to try" list for when I'm tolerating... -

Thanks Andrea. I think it went really well. Of course I went WAY overboard. I just started buying the things I really wanted to try....apparantly I prefer all the stuff thats VERY high in salicylates...the worst offenders. I'm sure it would be best to NOT start out with the foods with the highest content....but yeah...I always do things... -

Yup....and for desert last night I melted strawberry sorbet. I miss my melted ice cream! Awww....same thing happens to me everytime I've tried mac n cheese. I get a really upset stomach. Its not the dairy doing it to me though...there are other ingredients that would be more problematic for me. I havent tried the box stuff...only Amy's... -

I tried making my own mac n cheese when I first went gluten-free. I used Tinkyada and velveeta. OMG...it was a disaster! Cooking was a whole new concept for me a few years ago. I had to post on this board....asking for help with melting the cheese. The box stuff is EASY. -

You mean the boxed stuff isnt real Mac n Cheese?? I LOVE the boxed stuff...and I'd drown it with milk. My mac n cheese isnt too creamy because its floating in milk. I'd also put lots of black pepper on it....back when I could tolerate that stuff. -

The majority of autistic kids benefit from a Gluten-free Casein-free diet for that reason. They are in a drugged state while consuming these foods but improve significantly while on the diet. Although in my case I feel the strong cravings and an unsettling feeling when I couldnt have milk...I did not have the "drugged" effect. My behavior was the same... -

I dont think it would be fungal but heres what I found... The liver constantly a bright green fluid called bile that is secreted into the small intestine or stored in the gallbladder. Bile is needed to absorb fats and fat soluble vitamins. It also helps to soften stools and is responsible for giving stools their characteristic brown color. As... -
Getting the fillings removed can be costly. I cant recall if insurance covered anything when mine were taken out. I only had 4....the removal of the first two is actually what cost me my health. I was uninformed....I didnt know anything about mercury at the time. Those two were most likely covered by insurance....my dentist drilled them out and replaced...

Do you know what other issues you might have as a result of heavy metal toxicity? If your immune system has been compromised and you're now ill you will likely have other things to contend with. Yeast, parasites, bacteria, etc...with heavy metals the body becomes a playground for these "bugs". The metals also interfere with detoxification so if...

Exactly...and while diet plays a role...it is not necessarily the reason for a compromised immune system. If the immune system is so burdened that yeast has become a life-long battle (despite a healthy diet) there is definately more to it than eating a gluten-free bagel or one cookie. Sure....those things DO feed yeast...and as long as yeast is a problem...

Personally, I do not believe that the anti-candida diet is (nor should it be) a lifetime diet. If you have a chronic condition that is manageable while on the diet...but is quick to return as soon as there is "infraction".....this means that the immune system is not able to keep the yeast in check as it would in a healthy body. Yeast is opportunistic....

For me dairy is the most addictive food of all. Its easy for me to quit most foods cold turkey but dairy is harder for me. If I have a single glass of milk I will have constant cravings that take awhile to subside. All I'll think about is MORE milk!! I was actually already like this long before I got sick. For as long as I can remember I couldnt go... -

I'm gonna have fun having all these new things for Dr. Amy to test! I'm gonna go get some friuts and veggies today to see how well I can tolerate the phenols with the No Fenol enzymes. I'm gonna try avocados...maybe some tomato for salsa!! Yeah....why not just start out with the worst ones. -

Yay Donna!! I'm excited for you. I'll probably have to reschedule my appt. with Dr. S. unless a miracle happens and my Doctors Data results are in by next Thursday. I ordered more enzymes today. I'm really excited about these enzymes since they are not derived from fruits. They ARE derived from aspergillus but very unlikely to cause reaction unless... -
I dont know of any studies offhand but yeast will survive antibiotics because they are not targeted by antibiotics. Yeast are fungal and will only be killed off by medications or herbs which have antifungal properties. Antibiotics are not antifungal....thus they will promote a yeast overgrowth as bacteria is killed off. I havent spent much time looking...

If you're interested in Dr. K. I have lots of info. I can dig up. You can also listen to his interview which is on his website...its very imformative and discusses candida, heavy metals, lyme, ART, heavy metals detox treatments, phsychological issues and toxins, etc. The interview is at the bottom of this page. Some info about the dangers of chlorine... "Cancer risks among people drinking chlorinated water is 93% higher than among those whose water does not contain chlorine." -- Dr. J.M. Price MD NEW SCIENTIST 18 September 1986 - Ian Anderson "Studies indicates the suspect to chemicals can also be inhaled and absorbed through the skin during showering and...

Antibiotics dont kill yeast....instead they allow for yeast to flourish by killing off good bacteria. If good bacteria is killed off more room is available for yeast to grow as it is no longer kept in-check by beneficial bacteria....as Tiffany previously stated. Any pathogen not affected by antibiotics can take advantage. Yeast is already present in a...
