  1. Hi everyone. I cant possibly reply to all that I'd like to...so I'll just jump in. I've been reading along during my lunch breaks so at least I'm not totally "lost". Kassandra and Carla....thats so cool that you two got to spend some time together. Lisa, I love reading reading your posts...they always make me smile. It seems to...
  2. Lori, The best way to really narrow things down and get some answers is to get the tests done. I've had alot of alternative testing to give us a good idea of what I'm dealing with...and then I've also had all the traditional tests to confirm. Some tests arent straightforward...Lyme for example can be very difficult to determine. Mercury is also tricky...
  3. I'm another one who believes that amalgams can be responsible for many health issues...including digestive. I had a broken amalgam (swallowed parts of it) that I left alone for 2 years. I was healthy all my life but around that time I developed Graves Disease (hyperthyroidism)....other than that I still felt fine and ate whatever I wanted. I'd never...
  4. LoriG, Welcome to the thread. I agree with April about the liklihood that mercury is still at the root of your problems. The other thing that stands out is emotional trauma....and the fact that you had even greater emotional stress with the death of your mother. I dont know how you were treated for the mercury but it didnt sound like you...
  5. Kassandra, New carpet can take awhile to "outgas". For some people it can worsen their condition....it can be very toxic. Just be aware of it in case you suddenly feel worse. Like April said it would be good to keep your room ventilated as much as possible.
  6. This is all a guessing game because we cant really know for sure what will work best for another person. We will all have different "problem spots" or imbalances and so we each have to be evaluated and treated as an individual....based on what we need (or dont need). I think when it comes to chelation the decision on what to use is highly personal and...
  7. If the enzymes that are needed to digest them are not functioning then it will be hard to digest them. Anything that we eat and cant digest can cause problems that can lead to more stress on the liver. Dried apricots are very high in salicylates....so if you had a problem with that (like me)....then you would feel much worse after eating them. I feel...
  8. Heres a page that talk about the possible link between candida and Celiac. Open Original Shared Link Theres also a page on the celiac.com main site....in the articles. I couldnt get it to come up right now. My temp. is always pretty low since I became sick...even when my thyroid was overactive I was having chills....which didnt make alot...
  9. I dont believe that ART can determine whether specific enzymes are functioning or not. I'm sure there is some type of testing that is available for this though. I think I've seen it mentioned before but I'd have to look more into that. Food antibody testing would be useless if the problem is not the food itself but rather something like salicylate content...
  10. Hers some interesting bits from a page I found...its having to do with Autism but mercury poisoning is mercury poisining regardless....so I find the info to still be useful for me. _________________________
  11. I really believe that once I am releasing enough mercury normal enzyme function will be restored....but until that occurs I will continue to feel toxic when eating the wrong foods. Since I'm deficient in so many minerals and seem to be very "unbalanced" I think its going to take some time to really see a big shift. This is what I want to discuss with...
  12. I'm excited for my next ART session but I'm also really looking forward to getting some feedback from Amy about how well I'm doing with chelation thus far. I had my 10th IV DMPS on Friday. I was scheduled to have the provoked urine challenge after this last session since it completes my second round of chelation. I chose to skip it since I had plans...
  13. Ok....Dr. Amy is scheduling for her next visit....which will be in a little less than 4 weeks. Of course...I missed the deadline again! The deadline was 2 days ago (Fri). I'm thinking I should be ok if I call first thing tomorrow morning. They are not working on the weekends so hopefully havent started scheduling new patients yet. I think...
  14. Thanks for the update Susie. I'm glad your Dr.'s are looking into different possibilities and also trying to determine why your IgA levels are still elevated. If all possibilities of cc as well as exposure from cosmetics, hair products, etc., can be ruled out I'm wondering if your anti-gliadin IgA is still elevated because you also have off the...
  15. I noticed reactions while I was taking oral glutathione...after awhile I stopped taking it because I didnt think the reactions were a positive sign. I also had a bad reaction to my first mineral IV which had vitamin C and glutathione added in. Since those were taken out I have done fine with just the trace minerals. At my last ART session glutathione...
  16. Carla, Have you tried Noni (Nutramedix)?? Thats the one I was taking for babs....its the herb that Dr. K finds to be most effective for babesia. I'm pretty sure theres some threads about it on LN.
  17. Like Carla said...if your mom had fillings some of her mercury burden would be passed onto you. There is also vaccinations. One of my Dr.'s explained to me that there really isnt anyone living on this planet who's totally free of mercury. We are all exposed to environmental mercury every day....its unavoidable. Depending on where you live you may have...
  18. My BioSET practitioner tests the pathways for dysfunction. For example if a person is reactive to cysteine this could cause that pathway to not function as it should. It may become "blocked" because of the immune systems response to things which are essential in keeping the pathway clear. In that case she would try to calm the immune system by desensitizing...
  19. Yeah....I think to really figure out how gluten affects you you would have to find the cleanest source....with no additional ingredients. I know....it makes it much less exciting....but something like pizza has sooooo many things in addition to gluten which could cause all sorts of symptoms for sensitive people like us.
  20. I never noticed burbur to have a taste...all of the NutraMedix herbs seem tasteless to me. They do taste like alcohol but I let the alcohol evaporate in the water before I drink it. All of my Dr.'s had recommended I do that anyway because I'm sensitive to alcohol. If I dont let it sit long enough I can definately taste the alcohol but not the herbs.
  21. When meds are being tested with ART they are tested against the "bugs". For example if someone has candida and is currently taking Nystatin they might feel bad and not know whether its because of dieoff or not. The candida is stressing this persons autonomic nervous system and the practitioner is looking for the treatment that will work best....meaning...
  22. Carla, What is POTS??
  23. I'm glad you had some great days! Hopefully you will have many more once you get this sorted out.
  24. Awww April....I'd be so upset too!! Thats really frusterating...I know you've been dealing with alot of different problems with the shop in the basement. It sounds like your hubby just really doesnt understand that once we've reached our capacity for toxins these things can have a huge impact on the immune system. There can be very noticeable...
  25. Donna....didnt you have this problem with wearing watches?? I cant recall if you were breaking the watches or just draining the batteries?? Either way...it cant be good. I wonder if I'd have the same problem....it wouldnt surprise me but I dont wear watches so I have no idea. I guess if I do decide to wear one I should start with an inexpensive one...
