  1. Susie....I didn't have all 3 of those minerals skewed. It was only my calcium that was high in the hair analysis...magnesium was close to the cut-off but still in range. Those are the 3 minerals that if *any* of them are elevated would suggest a problem with the body's ability to distribute them...so even though they show up in higher levels...there is...
  2. Thers some other stuff I want to reply to but will have to wait till tomorrow....believe it or not...I made plans!! No going to bed at 9 this year!! I do work in the morning though...and I will NOT be having any drinks. Oh well....next year I WILL!! HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE!!! see you guys next year!
  3. I posted alot of stuff about NAC several months back....mostly stuff I learned from patients of Dr. Klinghardt, reading and listening to what he's had to say about his past experiences with NAC (particularly in children), and from my own Dr.'s. I posted the link to an interiew in which Dr. K. talked about NAC. It can definately cause more harm than good...
  4. For comparison heres what showed up in my provoked urine challenge. Toxic metals: Antimony Arsenic ( April chelation does pull this out) Cadmium Lead Mercury Nickel Thallium Tin Tungsten All but Tungsten were in the reference range... I was only given 1/5 of a full dose of DMPS so the Dr. had to estimate what results would have looked like...
  5. Ok...I found it. Open Original Shared Link Looking over my report it looks like its Great Smokies/Genova Diagnostics who does the testing. My results show elevated: Antimony Bismuth Cadmium Mercury was very very low....barely showing up. These were the deranged minerals: Caclium* -High Molybdenum -High Strontium...
  6. April, I had very high tungsten show up in my test as well...I'm guessing it would have been off the charts if I'd been given a full dose of DMPS. My Dr. said not to be concerned with it...he said to look at the mercury when all these metals are showing up. He was mainly looking at the mercury, cadmium, arsenic. I looked up the tungsten anyway but...
  7. Laurie, Sorry things are such a struggle for you right now. Like Carla said...hang in there...it will get better! Are you excreting metals as you are chelating? Why do you feel as if something is holding you back?? I read a few different boards so its hard to keep up with everyone but are you doing DMSA/ALA....Andy Cutler protocol? If...
  8. Paula, I agree with Andrea. In order to detox heavy metals our bodies need the essential amino acid chains that are found in protein. These amino acids are seriously lacking in a vegetarian diet....veggies dont have these amino acids and as a results your body is less able to detox metals. So they will accumulate more than they would if you were...
  9. Florence, I confess that at one time I hated this topic as well....it was the scariest thing ever! I had a book about it....but I never looked at it....I never went and researched it like I did everything else. I think I was so scared only because I didnt know where to go for help....so what good did it do me to research it...it only got me more scared...
  10. Yes...but in hair analysis healthy people who have no mercury burden do not usually have these minerals showing up out of balance. So if theres a magnesium deficiency as well as a calcium deficiency...while one might contribute to the other....there must be something underlying this imbalance. They do not usually see this in hair analysis of people who are...
  11. I dont think these results would be considered positive by a LLMD. The 45 band is not a Lyme specific band and the 41 band can be positive from any bacteria which has a flagella (tail)....and many bacteria do have a flagella. However, Lyme cannot be ruled out with these results either. Its a clinical diagnosis based on symptoms and history. There are other...
  12. Paula, I get my meat from Whole Foods....I buy mostly organic grass fed beef. I've done better with grass fed than anything grain-fed. I think that will improve as I become less toxic but for now I stick with grassfed...and its much healthier anyway. That USWellness place that Andrea mentioned sells alot of grassfed meats I think. The Bay Area has...
  13. Ditto on that! I love tuna sandwiches....not quite as much as I love PB & J...but yeah...I do miss tuna. Maybe when I get better I'll have it once in a great while...with some chlorella on the side. Paula, What a great hubby you have! I'm really happy that you have someone so supportive by your side....it just makes all the difference...
  14. Julie and Susie Q!!! We soooo have the same taste in movies! I have almost all the movies you listed Julie...I'm a sucker for romantic comedies. and Susie....YES...I saw Millions at the theater....GREAT movie. Very cute and a really good story. I think it was based on true events?? I LOVED The Holiday and 13 Going On 30.... I...
  15. Tuna is high in mercury. I would probably avoid tuna and other fish until you find out whether or not you have problems with mercury. If your body is already toxic (even if its not from heavy metals)....the tuna will just add to it. I think all of this stuff would mess me up pretty good. All that stuff is processed (except the fruit)...it might...
  16. What types of foods are you eating? Is it any foods...or mostly strachy/high carb foods??
  17. Heres more info. about mercury and the minerals....
  18. Yes...mercury can definately be the cause of your depression...as well as the other issues you're dealing with. Yes...do talk to your Dr. about this. Hopefully there is someone in your area who is knowledgeable about this. Inform yourself as much as you can because unless you're seeing someone who specializes in this you will most likely be telling...
  19. I found that for me personally, the tests I did for food intolerances/allergies were the least useful out of ALL the testing I've done the past 5 years. I spent probably close to $1000 out of pocket on the food testing but it didnt help me at all. I had the big food intolerance test....over 100 foods plus a bunch of spices. It was expensive but it...
  20. I'm really curious as to how I'm going to do once I start taking Alinia. I was going to ask if you were taking any binders but then saw that you mentioned charcoal and apple pectin. I think killing parasites can be really rough if you have alot of heavy metals....thats my biggest fear with the treatment. I dont know the extent of my parasite problem but...
  21. I think just to do the hair analysis it was much cheaper...it was less than $100. It wasnt the lab you're mentioning...I've never heard of that one. I think it was called Mineral something or other...I will let you know tomorrow.
  22. April, I'm really good at putting my thoughts into written words...but definately NOT so good at explaining things "out loud". I try but I think I just tend to ramble on and on. This is very true...a clean diet is really important. Anything that we do to add to the toxic overload will make thing more difficult. I usually stick to my plain...
  23. Sorry. I seem to be REALLY good at posting large amounts of info. at once ....but I do try to break it down so its easier to read and hopefully easy to understand. It was over 3 years ago so I'm not sure where I ordered it...I just looked online for a place I could do this without needing a Dr. to order it. I had all the wrong Dr...
  24. Suddenly I'm in the mood for scientificness. I dont know what happened but for at least a month now I've had no interest in getting scientific! My mind has TOTALLY been on other things....which is kind of a first for me. Usually I'm pretty much obsessed with the research stuff....but lately....not so much. Oh well...I guess my mind...
