when I get glutened, I get overtired. I feel like I haven't slept for ages. This also happens when I accidently eat other foods I am allergic to. It actually happened with chick fill-a fries. I was so happy they were gluten-free. I didn't clue into the fact that they were cooked in peanut oil. After 2 hours, I was in the bed, with terrible fatigue. I could...

ARCHIVED Dairy/soy Free Cheese?
LRgirl replied to Jamie-44's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
I suspect that I am lactose intolerant because tests show I don't have a milk allergy. I have been able to eat with no problem Andrew and Everrett cheeses. They have no casein, gluten, or hormones. You may want to try them if you don't have a milk allergy. Good luck to you, Traci -
Yes, the hair loss has been spotty. I tend to loose it in certain areas such as an area in the back, strange strips of hair loss on the sides, areas at my temples are always weak. I also experience pain, and she has told me to use a topical antibiotic. The same one I have used for acne. Surprisingly, it works. I went to a previous dermatologist that tried...

Hi Janelson, I have been dealing with the same problem. It seems to happen everytime I cheat on my gluten-free diet. I go to a great dermatologist. I use a low grade steriod cream on my scalp two times a day. Despite this, I recently lost a great area of hair. She decided to inject the medicine directly into my scalp with a needle. Its not as bad as it...

Hi Katie, I live in Ellicott city, Md. I see you are starting college soon. What college are you going to? I went to Towson University, graduated in 2001. I have a degree in psychology, but I work in IT. It's really great so many celiacs are on the eastcoast. We should all keep in touch. Traci -
Hi, I'm planning on out to eat with a friend. We're going to a restaurant park that has several restaurants. I have eaten at Champ's before. I got the Bruchetta salad with balsmic vinigrette. I didn't have any symptoms, however this was before I had several months of being gluten-free behind me. I've seen some mixed reviews about PF changs. Which would...

I went to a cooking with allergies class. She made quinoa and potatoes. At first, I kinda liked it. They gave us some to take home. I tried it again for breakfast. Yuck! I don't know what happened, but my stomach was not happy! My dad accidently took it for lunch. He called me and asked me what exactly was it. He said the little white things looked like...

Hi, I use Orgran Egg substitute from the Gluten Free Pantry. It is the best! I only had one instance of it not working. That was Miss roben's bluberry pancake mix. Yuck! The cinnamon chebe dessert taste just like bagels. I rolled them into balls. The pizza was chewy, but the taste was great. I had gone so long without pizza. I really wasn't thinking...
