  1. The naturally glutenfree baking is realy not a problem for me at all. But then i found i am (hopefully temporarily) intolerant to eggs, and that messes with everything. That is my main ingredient in most things that i bake, like breads, rolls, cakes, muffins, pancakes, cookies and everyhting else. I also prefer to make everything healthy (also cakes, cookies...
  2. This is quite facsinating, powerofpositivethinking, as I had the exact same result as you! Slight inflamation, but not enough to call it celiac (you said somwhere that was the result of your biopsy?) That is so strange! How can it be that we both have positive antibodies and inflamaition in the intestine, but that is not enough to deside its celiac, when...
  3. Do you have your actual testresults? It depends on what antibodys were positive, and 'how' positive they were
  4. dilettantesteph, apparently I do not have celiac, as bloodwork only showed slightly elevated DGP IgG and everything else fine, and biopsy showd slightly inflamed intestine, but not enough to conclude that its celiac. With all my symptoms I find it strang that this is disregarded, but still I'm thinking that if I was superduper sensitive, woulden't my body...
  5. I talked to me doctor yesterday, and he said that based on all testresults I am very unlikely to have celiac (I have not yet had a chance to talk to him about the results, just another doc at his office, and the lady in the reception). He also shared my idea that it might be allergy, so I am now going to stay away from any antihistamins for 4 weeks than have...
  6. These recomandations are based on the idea that you need AT LEAST tha amount of protein, no mote fat than that and it is ok for carbs to fill the rest of your diet. You NEED far less carbs, and it is perfectly fine with more protein. As long as your sources of fat are of good quality, its ok with more fat as well. To me, the symtoms you describe sund like...
  7. Oh.. No, I don't have that. I tried to call my doc today to ask about allergy testing, but he was to bussy, I'll try again tomorrow. ANy thoughts on how to find out if this is actually an allergy if the tests come back negative? Like I mentioned, I have had negative results for things that I KNOW I am allergic to, but thats just pollen, ANd not wery heavy...
  8. I am sorry, I see now that I did a very poor job in listing symptoms, I just tried to keep it breef for once. It would have been important to mention that I vomit within minutes of eating something with gluten/wheat, and i also get dihorrea. I don't get a rash, but an itch that drives me crazy. I have noticed getting this itch on my arms alot after going...
  9. I started testing for celiac this spring, after having been glutenfree light for years. I had several bloodtests done and a gluten challange followed by a biopsi of the small intestine. The bloodtest showed everything normal exept DGP IgG borderline positive on the first test and slightly more positive after the challange. I have not gotten all the results...
  10. I have been told that avocado helps clence your gut in a gentle way. I don't know if there is anything to that, but i love avocado and eat it every day, så I hope it is true A probiotic supplement will help some, and to have a healthy and natural diet, but it seems like you alredy do
  11. It is grate that things are finally happening for you, and that you are on your way yor way to getting some answers
  12. I orderd it from iHerb, thinking maybe it woult help me feel better sooner. But I am starting to suspect that it is actually upsetting my stomach. Some days I get really bloated, nauseous and have D, and other days I feel so good, better than ever. I think there is a pattern, that the days I feel so good is the same days that I forget to take the supplement...
  13. If he said 'markers', that sounds to me like he meens genetic markes? I know they test for two different genetic markers that most people with celiac (and quite a few others) have, maybe he thinks/knows that there are more markers that celiacs' have in common, but they can not test fro them?
  14. For some more strangeness; I now got the full results of all my three tests. And that shows that as my serum IgA has been at a stabile 2,2, the tTG IgA has gon from 2 on the first test throug 1 on the second and is now <1. WHAT is THAT about!? Thank you ravenwoodglass, I have been glutenfree for a week now and already feel so much bether
  15. Sooo long story short. I have suspected that I have celiac for years, but been told I don't by a doctor soly based on a hometest that only tests for tTg IgA. Then this spring, after beeing glutenfree light for years, another doc wanted to give me propper testing when I mentiond this when I was just in for a regular allergy test (pollen, mainly). This test...
  16. Are there any? I'we been on a gluten challange the last two months due to celiac testing.During that time I have had an itch that comes and goes. It itches really bad. It wakes me up at night. But there is no rash... I finished the challange four days ago, and today the itch is back, worse than ever. My uper and lower arms and my hands itch like crazy,...
  17. I study nutrition, and last fall we had a course on diseases. This was only very basic, but even there we learnd that 'celiac is an autoimmune disease that is triggerd by consuming gluten. Gluten will then caus the body to attack the small intestine, resulting in a flattening of the villi. Only cure is being glutenfree for life, and after some time of being...
  18. It sounds like you realy need to get tested and go glutenfree as soon as posible... I had problems with anxiety and depression for many years. Looking back I now realise that those problems eased up when I cut back on gluten about 8 years ago. But I was never 100% glutenfree, and the anxiety kept sneaking up on me from time to time. I have been on a gluten...
  19. On sunday I got so sick I really worried for my health. I desided my intestine could not possably heal in two days, so I have not had gluten since then; and I am already feeling better, but I still have a long way to go. The doc preforming the biopy seemed to think that with my borderline positive DGP IgG and my reapons to the challange, the biopsy was...
  20. Just 3 more days to go... :)

  21. Your ttG IgG looks borderline, right? And with a positive biopsi and genetic test, it seems pretty clare that you have celiac. I asume you had some reasons for suspecting celiac in the first place, as you had the biopsi done?
  22. I'm im on a gluten challange now, has been for 6 weeks now, 5 days to go. I feel like s$#&, and has done the whole time. It's different from day to day, though. One day i might vomit alot and have stoace pain, another day I'll be totally woren out. Other days I'll have terible diarrhea or headace and joint pain. Some days I'll cry for no reason, and other...
  23. That could be. My face is swelling, maybe my whole body is? Also I am very tierd most of the time, so you might be on to something with the metabolisem. Feels like am asking thousands of questions these days, my brain does not seem to be working properly and I can't work things out on my own.. Im doing the biopsi in 6 days, so I'll have to finish these last...
  24. I'm get the impression that is the norm in US? In Norway it is normally done as a gastroscopi. Is one better than the other for getting a propper diagnosis?
