ARCHIVED Severe Adrenal Fatigue Symptoms?
designerstubble replied to designerstubble's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Thanks for that... So which supplement are you still on, the Adreset? My doctor was pretty useless, she gave me a herbal remedy but I have yet to try it... Do adrenals ever recover on their own? Were you diagnosed with addisons disease or is that something else?? I dont know at what point adrenal fatigue turns into addisons? From what i have read, Addisons... -
ARCHIVED Periods Aches!
designerstubble replied to designerstubble's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Ps. I know endometriosis may cause bad pain in legs, and abdomen... and when I had a quick scan on yesterday, apparently you are supposed to report any leg pain during period to your doctor. Which in itself fills me with dread... (having to talk to my doctor) -
ARCHIVED Periods Aches!
designerstubble replied to designerstubble's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Omg, I'm not the only one then... As much as I know how crap it is, I am comforted that there are others. Potato! Funnily enough, my diet (which due to many many intolerances) is restricted... BUT I loaded up on the humble potato before my period, and for 3 days I actually ate a baked potato with a veggie rice!! Double starch!! I craved it baaaad! I can... -

I have just had some lab test results that show I have severe adrenal fatigue... (I have just read up on Addisons disease which I know is connected to Celiac...) Does anyone know how to recover from adrenal fatigue? Self help tips?... I have scared myself with Addisons disease as I have many other of its symptoms (like pigmentation problems,... -

Thanks for that (hugs back) I have made an appointment (again!) with my doc, I'll get on my knees and beg for the correct thyroid tests! I had my thyroid tested last Dec... Could they have changed in less than a year?? So... subclinical TSH i guess is before it's officially diagnosed? I had some results come back from an independent pee test I had done... -
ARCHIVED Am I Still Healing Or Is It Cc
designerstubble replied to niese's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I'm 8 months in, still having lots of troubles with diarrhea and loose bowels, stomach aches come and go now, at least they are not permanent! I share kitchenware too for occasional gluten foods, but really they are very occasional now... it took me 3 months to decide to 'mostly' ban gluten in my house... i couldn't cope from the stress of cc issues and basically... -
Hi there Just a quickie... Before dx 8 mths ago I had light periods every 21ish days... But i'm pretty sure I'd stopped ovulating. Now, gluten-free 8 mths, periods are 'normal'... every 27-28 days, boobs grew back (they'd disappeared!)...and I'm sure I am ovulating again... BUT (there's always a but!!) I have been suffering the last 3 periods with really...

ARCHIVED Any Ideas On Hair?
designerstubble replied to designerstubble's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Would you really shave it?? I dunno, but I know what you mean... And I must admit I think if you dress right it can be carried off beautifully... Has your hair regrown then as you must mostly be gluten-free all the time? How long have you been gluten-free nvsmom? I can't remember sorry. I used to have SO much hair... It's horrible trying to tie a ponytail... -
ARCHIVED Any Ideas On Hair?
designerstubble replied to designerstubble's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I was hoping someone would say that... I really don't hope it's permanent. I know my ferritin was way down (2.4!), but much better now within normal now for 6 months now... So kinda hoped I'd see something happening! There's a little bit of fluff that started growing earlier but so much more has fallen out it just keeps getting thinner. Back on the biotin... -

ARCHIVED Any Ideas On Hair?
designerstubble replied to designerstubble's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Hmmm. Can celiac itself 'make' you lose hair? I read about 10% of celiacs have ongoing hair loss not resolved with being gluten-free. Really? Why is this?? If its gluten that triggers and you're off gluten then why continual hair loss? Hmmm. Maybe they mean complications of thyroid etc? -
ARCHIVED Any Ideas On Hair?

Another very good idea! I'm going to check it out, thanks prickly pear. I did see a naturopath who did a pee test for me, perhaps she can do it... I'll give my doc one last chance, go in armed and blazing! It's so annoying. My doc didn't even know that I needed antibodies tested after being gluten-free. I feel as though I hand hold the dorset, UK medical... -

ARCHIVED Any Ideas On Hair?
designerstubble replied to designerstubble's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Thanks everyone. I wonder if its thyroid as I have gained lots of weight for no reason and feel cold compared to everyone else. I asked docs to check thyroid antibodies but because my general thyroid test was normal they just won't do it. I'm on my 3rd doc here in UK. Also perhaps hormonal? I'm 40. Think I was perimenopause before dx as periods irregular... -

ARCHIVED Salicylates Intolerance
designerstubble replied to klisja's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Hey just seen this thread... Just wondered what symptoms you all get with you saly intolerances/allergies??? As I saw oranges and tomatoes included somewhere I wonder whether what I have could be a saly intolerance?? I became severely asthmatic to oranges lemons limes and tomatoes after going gluten-free. I assumed it was just a citrus thing? I thought a... -

Just a little update on my stinky poop! Not that anyone really wants to know, but just for those that may have a similar problem and read this! Tried another egg last weekend... Stinky bottom not so stinky!! Perhaps because I scrambled them? So... Looking better, gonna try again this week... After a month will up to 2 eggs... Shocking! -

ARCHIVED Celiac And Multiple Intolerances
designerstubble replied to klisja's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Thanks Lisa. My life would be so much easier if I knew what was normal (poop wise!) ugh! So I guess your reactions depend on the food and perhaps the quantity?? Do some of your reactions happen a day or two after... Like rashes and itching for example? Sorry you've had a rough week, hope you feel better soon... Funny hey that these reactions get worse... -
ARCHIVED Celiac And Multiple Intolerances
designerstubble replied to klisja's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I'm interested to know when you all say you are intolerant... What symptoms do you get??? Just that I have continuing loose bowels (not really diarrhea so much i think) ... all I eat is fruit and veg... Would you guys cut something out if it gave you loose bowels??? Scary thought for me, I'd basically have bugger all left to eat. -

Bartfull, I'm SO envious! I love guitar, I bought my acoustic 2 years ago, taught myself tab and struggle along! I'm crap!!!! But I wish I could get some lessons. With you!! You lucky lucky! I'm a music lover too, I just wish I was talented. My husband also loves guitar and plays much better than I do, though we have different styles (my cousin is a top...
