    hi guys.. i just started working there and they dont have gluten-free menu.. but they gave us a packet with all the food allergy listings.. so if anyone wants to know what they can have there , let me know! i also have the list for dairy free too!
  2. anyone know if their soda is gluten-free? i have a case of a mix of lemon-lime, grape, orange and root beer and im wondering if any of them are gluten-free? thanks!
  3. i have a really good recipe for these but with tofu. 1 head lettuce or napa cabbage 1 pkg extra firm tofu drained 1 1/2 T fresh chopped ginger 3 T fresh chopped garlic 2 1/2 C chopped s$#&ake mushrooms salt pepper red pepper flakes gluten-free tamari/soy sauce dice tofu into small sqaures and put on cookie sheet, then cover with tamari , salt...
  4. i love this bread tooooooo!! i make it all the time with egg replacer and it comes out great. but last night i tried it with the egg replacer and the part where you substitute the 1/2 c water with the half c milk/soymillk and it didnt bake up at ALL!! it was horrible. so i dont suggest doing both.. ive always just done the egg replacer and water recipe...
  5. like i said before.. they are absolutely great!! i dont think you can ever be TOO obvious. i cant count how many times ive told people i cant have wheat and they say .. oh thats not that bad.. you can still have white bread then. and how many young kids work at resturants that are just there for a paycheck. goood job!!!!

  8. i went to the wild oats on 119th today and it was great!!! i however was not impressed with the whole foods. i dont know if i was just shopped out, but i really didnt find anything good. but ill definetly give it another try!! as for just regular things i went to hy-vee and it was pretty good too!! but i give wild oats a HUGE thumbs up!!!

  10. thanks!! we finally made it kansas city about 2 days ago and that will be great to go to! im also really excited to grocery shop today at wild oats and whole foods!!!!!!!

  14. oh.. okay. there is a health food co-op there with a resturant in it that has a gluten-free menu. ( along with all other food allergies too)

  17. i agree! i get most of my stuff at hannaford and only travel to the health food store for a few specialty things..and they are more for me being vegan than gluten-free. i can easily get all my gluten-free things at hannaford. i am moving in a few days and will be in a town with a whole foods and a wild oats so i will have to see how they compare.
  18. i dont know about the uncle dans. but nasoya makes gluten-free and dairy free dressings that are amazing!!! the peppercorn ranch one is awesome!
  19. wow! great!i never thought to look at hy-vee. whenever i would go home to kc to visit id always go to price chopper and they have nothing!!! there is an awesome store in independence called "natures pantry" they have a HUGE gluten free section. we are moving back to kc on sunday so i'll have to check out hy-vee ! im excited for whole foods too!! that...
