  1. Sweet potato curly fries! Great minds think alike, they are next on my list, I might try them with the straight blade though....I haven't even taken the protective sticker off that blade yet, so not sure how thick it will cut. I did thin parsnip noodles, sprayed with a little oil and fried in a non stick pan, I was going for crunchy, but didn't have enough...
  2. Wow, I took my eyes off the board for 2 mins and so much went on! I hope you like your spiraliser as much as I do - I've had vegetable 'noodles' for every meal but dessert, lol. I like the thin noodle attachment the best. So far I've done: courgette, carrot, swede and now butternut squash (just used the solid top section). I still think it's great, I get...
  3. Well, it came today, and I'm rather pleased! So, breakfast was carrot and courgette noodles (using the thicker noodle blade) with an egg and some pesto sauce. I stir-fried the noodles for a minute or so, then cracked an egg in the middle and covered the pan with the lid so the egg cooked in the steam - it was very yummy. For dinner, we'll have swede...
  4. Mainly carrots......I got the link from a couple of posts above in this thread: Open Original Shared Link
  5. Oh no, but 'baked' beans used to be one of my favourites to cook in a big batch and keep in the fridge, and I think you should try it, it's not hard, and very cheap. That is, unless you have found out you can't do beans! (Like me....). I'm gonna make the nomato sauce to put on the mountains of 'pasta' I'm going to make with my new kitchen gadget (spiraliser...
  6. Hi Lisa, I've tried spaghetti squash, it's expensive here (UK), and all i ever got was stringy mush.....so I gave up on that, lol. I've done courgette and carrot 'ribbons' with a peeler, they're OK......used a mandolin to make jullienne also. The reason why I'm hoping the spiraliser will be better is that it will make 'noodles' that are thicker than I can...
  7. Since i am totally grain and psuedo-grain free, I have really missed pasta. I'm quite excited at the thought of getting my teeth into something that vaguely resembles pasta. I've done lots of research and have ordered this: Open Original Shared Link Has anyone else tried it? Thanks Diane
  8. Thanks for resurrecting this! I was trying to make my own 'nomato' sauce using carrots as a base and look forward to trying the one in the post before yours. I get extreme nausea minutes after eating nightshades (potatoes are worst), then my head spins and I have to lay down, it lasts about an hour, and at some point within that hour I usually have to vomit...

What??????!!!!!! PLASTIC CAN BE MADE OF CORN? Do you think drinking from a 'corn' plastic cup can give the same reactions as eating corn? I ask because, 2 weeks ago, I went to a different bar than the one I normally go to, and they used plastic cups. I had a drink of black currant cordial made with tap water and before I had even finished the drink I began...
  10. Hi jhol, I'm in the UK too....also undiagnosed - I've given up on the NHS here...it's a very long story (which I may post in another thread one day), but I've self diagnosed Celiac - been living gluten-free since before last Christmas. After the initial, fantastic, wonderful response to going gluten-free, I too started to notice further intolerances....
  11. Hi, this is my first post....I haven't felt knowledgable enough about most things "gluten" to offer help...I been lurking and learning, lol. - but I have been living with this particular little gift for 4 years. (Yeah, yet another complication of Celiac I think). On the one hand it's a complicated area - you have to find your own limits, but on the other...
