Hi guys: My doc is trying to make sure I"m on a correct dosage of the antidepressant zoloft - I had been prescribed the Greenstone brand but the pharmacist at Pfizer just told us that I should not take it because it has sodium starch glycolate and they cannot be sure if it is gluten free. Then Walgreens advised me to call my doctor. I have put in...

I recently switched to Maxwell House Coffee after learning from our support group that Folgers says there may be "trace amounts" of gluten in their coffee. Do any of you drink Maxwell House (called Kraft and they seem very knowledgeable about gluten). Just checking...thanks a million. Amanda

LOL. Cross my fingers too.

Guys, I'm curious. I know some of you - and you know I'm a biopsy diagnosed celiac (have been for almost 10 years). I go in regularly to get looked at by the doc and seem to be healthy. Does every celiac get a zillion other autoimmune diseases? Or can someone just have celiac? I know that it happens - others get Hashimoto's etc...but does anyone on...

Hi again guys, I've been prescribed this med for a stupid sinus infection. From what I can tell it looks like there's no gluten - just asking if you guys could look at the Hi-Tech Pharmacal link and see what you think (the company can't be reached right now because of the hurricane out there!): Open Original Shared Link -
CELIAC DISEASE - so damn annoying!!!!

Thank goodness you answered my question, psawyer - your answers are my most trusted! (I've never had a reaction to the stuff, so I was stunned.)

Hi guys, I thought it was always gluten free before, but last night I took the Vick's Cold and Flu liquicaps. I called today and they said the only "confirmed" gluten-free products was the new nature fusion liquid stuff. Has anyone ever had any trouble with the liquicaps. I took them once or twice earlier this month, too. Thanks for your assistance...

Awesome. Thanks again, Patti. I'm sitting here drinking it thinking - I can totally order this right? !!! I need my caffeine!!! (By the way, the sertraline is working great.)

Guys - I'm just curious. (Again, I'm a biopsied celiac). I occasionally order a coffee from a coffee shop - just good old plain coffee. That's okay, correct? I drink coffee normally at home but just wondered if that's something you guys have when you go to a restaurant? Thanks! (We have a nice place called Barriques - the coffee is not flavored...

Thanks as always, Patti!!! I went from a few days at 25 and just started at 50 mg...so I think that it's just that increase that caused my little "change"...'cause I SWEAR I've steered clear of gluten since 2005 . Except for unfortunate instances of CC!! I also called Greenstone just to check on the status of the med. He said it's gluten free ...

Hi guys, I just started a new SSRI about a week ago, called Sertraline (Greenstone which is gluten free). When you start these meds do you get some mild loose stools? I seem to be having this and as a celiac I always wonder if this can be caused by the meds or by the celiac! Thanks for any advice.

Hi guys, I'm looking to find out if any of you are biopsy-diagnosed Celiacs who do Ironman or triathlons? I do and I wanted to just talk to someone about their nutrition during training. Thanks - please write back! AmandaD

Hi guys, I was biopsy-diagnosed with celiac about 7 years ago and just go to my regular doc once a year and the gastro every 2 years. What kind of follow-up care do you do regularly? ARe you all at your docs every 6 months? Generally, I feel very well and follow my gluten-free diet religiously. After I was diagnosed they did a ton of bloodwork and just...

My brother is totally the same way, I even had the stupid biopsy done to make sure I had it. My brother has worse stomach issues than I ever did and just feels that since he had one TTG test many years ago, there's no way he has it. Frustrates me.

As a biopsy-diagnosed Celiac for the last 6 or 7 years I've been relentlessly strict with my diet. I feel pretty much fine now but sometimes I get down about being a Celiac...I worry a lot that they'll be complications down the road, in fact, I think I tend to over worry. Can any long time Celiacs add some good positive comments about being a Celiac so I...

Hi guys, It looks safe - but I just wanted to ask...I'd like to use Hershey's plain old Cocoa powder to make homemade frosting...Do you use this brand?

Have you talked with your actual doctor? Did your doctor say these results actually indicate a problem?

I want to make fudge this holiday season...it looks okay to me, but do any of you guys use Jet-Puffed Marshmallow Creme from Kraft. Just checking with you all. I know Kraft has a great gluten-free policy... Let me know if you've got a good recipe... Thank you as always!!!!
