So everyone and their mother talks about how good l glutamine I decided to give it a shot. I took half a teaspoon once a day in the morning 45mins before I eat. After three days, I woke up one morning quickly having to use the bathroom with diarrhea, which I've not had in months. It sucks because I do admit I feel far more energetic, this could also...

afternoon lady! thank you for the reply, much appreciated. Yea, the digestive basic capsules i bought have powder in them, I've been pouring a little out so it balances as half a capsule. Im desperate and bored in terms of trying to improve my health. My insurance doesn't kick in until january and with all the holiday meals coming up (autoimmune recipies...

yea, last year I tried the papaya extract and it felt like i'd drank battery acid (idk what thats like, assuming burning and terrible). I'm just very surprised that off of half an enzyme capsule every couple days still puts me in a funk, like i've noticed i get alot more gassy, which isn't a bad thing I guess. I'm as usual being impatient and want to...

Evening guys, kk I'm undiagnosed still (I'm working on it) but my stools always float, tend to smell, and sometims slide in the bowl (sorry had to describe folks!) and I can't gain any weight for the life of me. My mom says she has a coworker who discovered they had exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, which looks very common in dogs but so much humans...

ARCHIVED Antibodies And Inflammation
ezgoindude replied to gilligan's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
sup gilligan! You helped me greatly in describing a true SIBO test (i'm still waiting until Jan for insurance, but you bet i'll be asking the doc to do it right the second time) Again I can only say part of my experience, I didn't test positive for Celiac, or Crohns, or thyroid problems, our current concrete fact is a have chronic minimal levels... -

evening ninja! yea the fall schedule always has me on a time crunch, the whole autoimmune thing makes naps a necessity lol. I have not done any IgE testing yet, once my first GI doc saw I had a mild elevation of inflammation in the gut by stool test he said I had Crohns or Celiac and diet would make little to no difference.... jeessh. Then they put... -

OCTOBER 2014 UPDATE: Alright, since last month I had to cut out the sweet potatoes, my stools were returning loose fluffly just plain crappy, etc so I've since purchased the SCD diet book and was contemplating the complex carbs being the problem. I am currently stuck to: Greens, preferrably cooked (kale, lettuce, chard, various fresh herbs on... -
ARCHIVED The Beginning - Good Enough Of A Diagnosis

I took a peek at your profile, it seems we are different in some symptoms but very similar in our unknown diagnosis. What frustrates me most is how subtle this disease/disorder/etc is, since last year almost ALL symptoms have resolved, my biggest reoccurring complaints is how my stools are and the fact I cannot seem to gain a single pound of weight... -

Hello Ninja! Thanks for the reply, I have been a bit distant from the forum atm but i've been so busy with school and I was going to wait until around this time to continue review of my monthly elimination diet/ update of symptoms. Since my last appt in August for my CT/barium scan that came back normal, I've been without any medical insurance... -
ARCHIVED The Beginning - Good Enough Of A Diagnosis
ezgoindude replied to ezgoindude's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I firmly believe my new specialists advice that since eosinophils are involved in a small section of my colon, I am stuck with an unknown autoimmune condition (probably eosinophlic gastroenteritis or eosinophilic colitis) on top of never touching gluten again. It scares me sh!tless but I'm ready this winter to ask for the possibility of starting steroids... -

I'm back for another post! Sometime around today marks the one year marker since I first had violent symptoms, events i'll never forget. I'm still waiting on new health insurance this november to continue testing, but here's a recap of where I stand: On month two of elimination diet, I had to cut out sweet potatos completely as my loose fluffy hot... -
Was just minding my own business, checking out some posts here at around 1AM for no other reason then I can't sleep, and my earbuds BLARE with this chick blabbing about her TVs shows or something...... I wouldn't mind usually but.... this advertisement has been on the celiac page for what has been weeks! I know everyone needs sponsors but at least mute...

ARCHIVED Help - Sick At Work All The Time
ezgoindude replied to Doorknocker's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
My vote is with chad, if I know its going to be a busier day at work you can bet i'm having indigestion but the end of the shift...... stress and anxiety seem to be a trigger for me. -
My blood platelets have increased, but are still below the average range. Good news is you've done the bone marrow test ,and that came back negative, I wouldn't worry about the numbers unless additional symptoms insue (if I never took a blood test I would have never thought to have low platelets) yes, back in march of this year when they performed my...

hhhmm.... the more I think of it though I don't think my doc did it right. I didn't fast or eat, wasn't told to do anything, didn't drink any fluids, I just blew into a tube for 15 seconds or so and this chick tell me I'm within normal range. If you don't mind me asking what test did you take to discover your SIBO? I do find it interesting that anything...

thank you NM! You've been really helpful with me before when I was dropping weight like crazy while everyone was sad they were gaining weight from all their gluten free foods, jeeesh (jk). Yea now that I've swayed off a bit in terms of diet and I'm very focused on a few things, now I know what it felt like to not feel as bad. I'm so used to life were you...

Sup Jk! 26 yo dude here and it sounds like you are very similar to what I was pointing out about myself 8 months ago before I became Arizonas new lab rat...... Right off the bat I can tell you the low platelets may be influenced by celiac, however, my levels were at their lowest while I was taking the PPIs. In fact, if you look at the warning page...

The more i've researched into this the more I'd have to say this could be an increasing factor. Things that really tear me up are raw onion, any form of broccoli, all grains, vinegars, most alcohols (gave up testing), which all look like culprits on the list. I've attempted zucchini, I got bored very quickly and was trying carrots and mushrooms, with...

Aaahhhh yea ive noticed with SCD/GAPS/PALEO/CANDIDA diets most of the effort is the amount of time to wait........ yea three years before stable results, I do have alot ahead of me. yea this morning I had a terrible bowel movement, parts of which looked undigested. I've decided to swap out the sweet potato for spaghetti squash for now, again my doc...

Whoa, bartfull that sounds very similar in my situation. Did sweet potatoes become easier to digest when you bought them organic? It is very odd, I can eat raw kale and romain lettuce no problems but give me celery or a carrot thats not cooked and it goes right through. If I could ask bartfull what were foods that were comfortable for you during the...

Gilligan, that is fascinating, I was looking at the low FODMAP list my gastro doc handed me before my colonoscopy and sweet potatoes are listed as healthy low fodmap foods. However it looks like they're discovered in recent articles the sugar in sweet potatoes can change as a sugar alcohol that can be irritating to some? Interesting, you could very...

hello GFinDC Appreciate the good vibes and advice as always..... sorry I should have clarified that my "grilling" is on a skillet in my kitchen, lol, which is on a gluten-free pan. I haven't had a movement since the last bad one, but my guts have calmed down since at least removing the vitamins and probiotics..... I see on your list carrots give...

I've heard of FODMAPs before... it was what they asked me to do before my colonoscopy back in March. If you look at the food list I have, all of them are allowed on the FODMAP diet as well. I'm starting to look into the idea if certain carbohydrates could be the culprit? I have a few days anyways before I notice if removing the vitamins/probiotics was...

ARCHIVED The Beginning - Good Enough Of A Diagnosis
ezgoindude replied to ezgoindude's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Thank you gluten-free lover, Some of the loose stools have calmed down since my stress attack (about a week ago) but I've begun to get occassional gnawing pain at the center of my abdomen, just to the right of my belly button ( from my direction) . My elimnation diet, however, has reached a plateau, I actually feel like it could be getting worse...
