  1. My son is not celiac. He is gluten intolerant and has IBS and a number of other food allergies. He takes zantac 150mg twice a day and it has eliminated his reflux. I hope you can figure it out. Good luck.
  2. I buy the frozen Udi's pizza crusts and make a pizza for each of us using the toppings each of us can eat.
  3. Yes. What 'luvs2eat' said. I don't trust anyone but me. I always bring my own food everywhere. I would never expect or want anyone to cater to me.
  4. My son usually takes a turkey and cheese sandwich, fried egg sandwich with cheese and ham, grapes, apple, string cheese, lentil chips. Sometimes rice crackers with little pieces of meat and cheese too. We don't usually have leftovers since they're such big eaters, but a burger or chicken breast with some rice or rice pasta is left occasionally for lunches...
  5. Personally I wouldn't trust the school to know what to feed my child. My son brings all of his own food whenever he leaves the house. That's the only way be sure especially if your son is younger and unsure of what he can and cannot eat.
  6. I buy the Udi's gluten free pizza crusts and make 'homemade' pizza. My son also loves the Udi's spinach and feta cheese frozen pizza. He is also allergic to tomatoes, so that fits the bill.
  7. I'm sure you can avoid cc, but why take the chance? My son is the one who is gluten free in our household. I have other food allergies. I always cook one meal for all of us so that means we all eat rice flour and other gluten free foods. It's easier to not have any gluten in the house. Udi's gluten free bread is made from rice flour. I buy gluten free bread...
  8. Livelifelarge24 I'm so sorry that dairy doesn't always agree with you. Whole milk has been one thing that has helped my son keep any weight on. Sometimes my son has eaten about 6 or 8 foods for months since those are the only 'safe' foods. It takes so much time to figure it out.
  9. I buy deli meat, cheese, apples, blueberries, grapes, pea pods, avocado, almond milk. Lots of easy to-go foods at the grocery store.
  10. My son is gluten free and also allergic to corn, potatoes, citric acid and cirtrus fruit among other things. He avoids most packaged foods and gets by on meat, cheese, fruit and veges that agree with him. We use rice flour instead of cornstarch in cooking. Also, we use USA made aluminum bottles for our water. No plastic and no 'made in China' bottles. Good...
  11. Maybe schedule a visit to her pediatrician. See if she is normal on the height/weight charts. It very well could be a growth spurt as kareng suggested.
  12. You just have to try to not let it annoy you. Healthy people will never understand what it is like to suffer from a chronic illness. Even those who care for us. That's why we have groups like this for support.
  13. Bring all of your favorite non-perishable foods with you. Look online and see what restaurants are near your hotel. Check their online menus and phone the restaurants ahead of time and ask if they can accommodate you. Good luck.
  14. So sorry. Most of the time it is safer to stick with those few safe foods you know are okay. Only try adding one new thing at a time and even then, be cautious. My son eats the same things over and over and he is able to function much better. Even being extremely careful he gets random intestinal cramps and misery. You'll adjust. It takes time to come to...
  15. Some gluten free products are better than others. I have found it better to avoid most foods that come in a box or can.My son is allergic to corn also so that adds another twist for us. The Tinkyada Pasta Joy rice pasta is good. Make sure to rinse thoroughly after cooking. Udi's brand bread in the frozen foods section is good too. Restaurants don't really...
