  1. This is what I'm hoping and why I'm so excited I think. I've lived with the neck pain (and other pains that I think they'll address once the neck thing is done) for several years now, so I'm just excited it might actually get fixed! Not easy for me either...I had to pull out my calendar to type that list, lol.
  2. CONGRATULATIONS!!! How exciting! We'll be neighbors, lol...I live about 50 miles south of SF. Don't get up there very often though so can't help with the eating thing, but just wanted to say congratulations and welcome up north, lol.
  3. I can't help it, I'm excited for you! The only thing I love more than making jewelry is using art supplies, lol!!!! Just got rid of a bunch, but kept a few "just in case"...a former obsession of mine...painting...and all the accessories.
  4. Yep, I've had THREE endoscopes since April! Really, it's not bad at all. I don't remember anything after they administered the sedatives until I woke up in the recovery area. The worst part was the pin prick for the IV and even that wasn't too bad. I was fairly groggy for a while afterwards on the first scope, maybe because they also did a colonoscopy...
  5. Nope don't think I need the cards either, lol. I think you're right Rachel...not many on this thread. Oh, Andrea, those berries sound good! And, wish I had a dollar for every duh moment I've had, lol. Well, my appointment went well. I didn't get to finish with the internist though, but did have a cervical spine Xray, got my first "mini" adjustment...
  6. Yep, see, it's that job interview thing I HATE, lol. Good luck on yours! I really do work for a nice bunch of attorneys...that's another thing I'm afraid to leave, lol...the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Andrea, I plan to just do what I can, but the nature of a law firm is kind of chaotic at times...can sit here for hours with nothing...
  7. Nope, amalgam is Wednesday, lol. Today is my first adjustment, my meeting with the PT, finishing up with Dr. Carrie and Xrays.
  8. Wow Rinne, I'm so sorry! I liked the way you phrased "relationships in which I don't actually exist". I've had some like that and it is so draining and frustrating, but so healing once they are done with.
  9. Thanks! My appointment is at 3:00 (actually I have two, one at 3:00 and another at 3:30 with the physical therapist) and they're taking some Xrays besides that, lol. If it's anything like the appointment on Friday, which lasted 1.5 hours, lol, that means I won't get out of there before 4:30. It's all good though...wouldn't have it any other way right...
  10. Thanks for the tips on adrenals...I'm soaking it all up. Thanks for the special thoughts! It really makes a difference!!! You are amazing to me (I mean that in an awestuck, wish I could be strong too way, lol). So glad the worst of it passed and you didn't have to go to the emergency room. It's exactly like food porn, lol. I hate...
  11. Thanks Carla! I do light weight training too...one body part per day for 6 days a week. I'm going to look for "Tired of Being Tired" too. The adrenal fatigue: the 21st century....is the one I'm reading now. I go back today to finish my "interview" with the internist...and am bringing all my past labs so she can see that, then I think she'll order some...
  12. Very cool Ursula!!!! I'm just starting my own quest with a new group of doctors who are open as well to alternative methods of finding out what is wrong! It is exciting to read your experience!!!!! Thanks.
  13. Thanks so much Carla...the exercise thing too...I didn't think of that, but because of the fatigue I've cut way down on the intensity, but probably not enough. I've been using the treadmills here at work in the last couple of weeks because I haven't felt well, and felt like it would be easy to stop if I felt bad (when you're outside walking and start to...
  14. Thank you both!!
  15. I too am afraid of forgetting someone, but have to say that I have really been helped by so many here. Of course, by ALL the posters on the OMG/Rachelville thread for their support, friendship and laughter and my goodness, to Rachel--24, who has practically given me all her doctors, lol. But there are others who probably wouldn't have any idea they've...
  16. Hi to everyone...glad Susan is feeling better today! Hi Mom, lol! I have an appointment with the HN doctors tomorrow and an appointment with the mercury dentist on Wednesday for my first removal. Forgot to ask him what he uses instead of amalgam and whether the test to make sure THAT stuff is compatible, lol. Either...
  17. Hi Claire, welcome! Thanks Carla! I needed to read this today. Had a slight meltdown a little while ago, lo. I bought the book Adrenal Fatigue: 21st Century.... yesterday and have read a big portion of it, but haven't gotten to the diet portion yet, lol, so am so happy whenever you post tidbits like this. I am totally eating WRONG for let my adrenals...
  18. Wow, sounds like exactly what has happened with me. Sooo sorry Julie, hope you are feeling better today (haven't read the rest of the pages yet, so premature post). Egads! Definitely hope the little one (or any of you) doesn't get it!!
  19. You're welcome! I usually try to sleep in until at least 5:00 a.m., lol, but this morning just quit fighting and got up at 4:00! OMGosh! I spent more than $40 on ribeye steak (LOVE it, lol) and about $20 on ground beef this morning, lol. The lymph glands in my neck are always swollen. My old chiropractor...
  20. I have not been tested yet for Lyme...I probably will want to at some point though. I don't think I had a huge window of exposure, but I DID go on a 7 day hiking vacation in Vermont around 1994 or 1995, so that was right around the same time that all my dental work was being redrilled & refilled...I don't remember ever seeing any bites, but I really...
  21. I might have gone on for years just feeling bad if it weren't for this thread where everyone has discussed what they know they have and what they suspect they have. I don't know if I ever would have thought seriously about adrenals or mercury if not for this thread. Yes, the idea is that once this mercury is out, my body can start to heal. Mercury can...
  22. So good to hear from you...this is my feeling too. I don't mind going through the testing if it AT LEAST tells me what it's not, lol. [ETA: And, this is one of the problems with conventional doctors...I can't trust that the testing they did was thorough enough, as evidenced by teh comment Laura's doctor made about not ordering a bunch of tests! harumph...
  23. Yep, Dr. Carrie and Dr. Cohen (Coen, Kohn, lol, not sure how to spell it). Both were great! I am SOOOO interested in this BioSet lady...I may have you PM me her name, lol. Oh Judy, I'm so sorry! Wow, sounds like you are really having a tough time. I'm really hoping you feel better this morning!
  24. Well, my appointment went well...the only bad part is that my medical history took so long the internist couldn't finish, lol. She had to use some of the chiropractor's time and still couldn't finish He (the chiropractor), knocked on the door two or three times, and she kept saying...we're in the home stretch, and still we couldn't finish, lol. She is...
  25. OMGOSH!! I couldn't agree more!!! Laura, thank you so much for that update. The bad stuff really suck though, lol.
