  1. I had to go to bed early last night...but I thought of you and prayed just as I got in bed...I'm so glad you got some sleep. I'm going to CNN right now to see what I can see about the storm...it's 6:19 am here in California so it must be around 9:19 where you are...
  2. Wow, how frustrating! I'm so sorry you are having to go through this!
  3. Oh Floridian! Praying really hard right now! Okay, prayer said. Did the sheriff's department give you any suggestions on what to do since getting out would be nearly impossible?
  4. Floridian - just wanted to tell you what our newscasters said here about the storm. They said it would "likely weaken" before coming ashore. The satellite picture looked like the whole state was covered in rain right now....is it raining hard?
  5. Floridian - I'm going to go with weaker too!! I seem to get reflux all the time so I can't tell by that. When I had that gluten a couple of weeks ago, my belly really got big and HARD. I have been dizzy since then too. My toungue is almost always coated though I did notice about three weeks ago that it was much less than it used to be, until I ate...
  6. I know what you mean. My mom and aunt (who live together now) are so stuborn, lol. I never had children but they sure give me an idea of what mine might of been like.
  7. Oh good! I was getting more worried by the minute and the thought of you being alone was too much for me! I am glad you are close to your family too although really would feel better if they were all with you.
  8. Wow! You're not alone are you?
  9. Wow Rachel, sorry you are feeling so bad. That sounds a lot like the nagging symptoms I'm having, but I'm just not having them as severe as you are. That's what I've been trying to have several doctors address over the last few months--well, since January and no one has had a good explanation even after lots of testing, so that's what gave me the idea it...
  10. Praying for you and your family and other in the path of the storm.
  11. Thank you Nancy, that makes it a little clearer for my poor brain!
  12. Yes the weather is similar I think…I’ve only spent 1 day in Florida (after a cruise—we took an excursion in Ft. Lauderdale), so I don’t know if that’s a good enough time…but it is muggy in both places and very warm, lol. Bugs grow big in both places. Hope you have successfully been to the health food store and are now back home safe! Post all y...
  13. Corinne that is FANTASTIC!!!!!! Great job! Megs - good for you for starting over and figuring out that it isn't worth it. I did something similar this last week by eating 6 Hershey's kisses...felt awful for a couple of days afterwards.
  14. Wow, I've been out all day and just got home. Floridian hope you are doing okay! I lived in Hawaii for about 6 years and during that time we got two bad hurricaines...it was DEFINITELY scarey! Now I just have to put up with the California earthquakes...those can be scarey, but not as scarey as the high winds from a tornado or a hurricaine I think....
  15. Thank you Danijela, I was a little worried that I posted so much! So, I wonder, would the over production of insulin show high on the testing strips, or would it not show at all? I had that one high result at the 1 hour mark...
  16. HA, maybe we all need therapy, lol, my ex-husband and I got along much better after we divorced. Course haven't seen him in years now because I moved back to California, but I think if we were still in the same state we'd be friends.
  17. Andrea - love the new picture...very cute! I was thinking the same thing about not belonging here, lol, but I often ignore those feelings. I'm not sure how the doctor's can say the cysts and fibroids don't cause pain...they are correct (probably) that they themselves don't cause pain, but if they are definitely pressing on other organs and surrounding...
  18. I agree, what a wonderful picture!
  19. Well drat...I was hoping it was something simple like that...it still could be that they need different equipment though...still hoping you here something today. Sorry you are in so much pain. I had awful pain with my fibroids, but that was mostly because they were so many and were pressing all my organs.
  20. I had a "double" myself, lol. I agree, having them at the same time is really the way to go. I have lovely pictures of my digestive tract too.
  21. Oh girls, it's been so busy at work the last few days I haven't had time to keep up with the posting. Rachel - hope you hear something today! I know what THAT's like. I was waiting to hear from Dr. R about the pre-cancer thing and he didn't call and didn't call. I didn't want to go through the weekend not knowing either. About going back for another...
  22. I decided to get the full panel. It was a bit pricey, but I had been tested for allergies to food and didn't show any, so I knew I was dealing with intolerances rather than allergies. I showed intolerant to gluten and casein, but not to the others that were tested.
  23. The way I look at it, is that if there is anything foreign in the body like a cyst, a tumor, or in my case an enlarged ampulla, lol, it has to interfere with SOMETHING in the way the body normally does its thing. It may not be the cause directly but if the body is feeding that, it's taking away from something else. That's my story and I'm sticking to it...
  24. Yep, fortunately I live alone and only had to worry about grossing myself out. I had to put it in the freezer, so wrapped it in plastic bags and old towels, lol. It IS a bit embarassing...I was wondering if the DHL guy could guess what was in there, lol.
  25. I don't know whether it was the gluten or the dairy, but I can say that I was sick the entire month of October 2005 (strep throat, ear infection and then a sinus infection) and before that had had a sinus infection every six weeks (almost like clockwork). I'd been seeing an allergist and a regular doctor and tried all sorts of things--the only thing that...
