  1. I had a stone that blocked my salivary gland for alsmost 10 years before being diagnosed. There is a test that they can do. It kept getting bigger and I had more and more infections. It got to the point where I had to have my salivary gland removed. The stone was an inch long. I, too, have celiac but am not sure of the correlation. I do not have Sjoren...
  2. I, too, had a lot of neurological problems before being diagnosed with Celiac. The vitamin B-12 shots have helped immensely. However, if you don't catch it in time, those neurological problems can be permanent. Ask his doctor if there is something he can take to minimize the symptoms. There are medications out there that can help.
  3. Some of the Zone bars are gluten-free. I would call the company for an update on which ones. Personally. I eat the Fudge Graham which they say are gluten-free. They are great.
  4. I have to say that I, too, have always had long eyelashes. After going gluten-free, did that change for anyone? I hope not!
  5. Thank you! I love M&M's!
  6. There is a brand called "Michael Season's" out now with the BEST cheetohs. I think they are better than the regular ones. Their website is www.seasonssnacks.com and they are called lite cheese puffs. They state that they are gluten-free right on the package.
  7. Be careful with M&M's. I heard they just came off the gluten-free list.
  8. I would definitely get checked. Heartburn was my only symptom when I went to the gastroenterologist. Luckily, he did an endoscopy and checked for celiac. And that was what I had!
  9. Hi, I don't know if it is the same thing I had or not, but right after being diagnosed I started having burning in my right arm and right leg and on my back. It turned out to be a Vitamin B deficiency. My Vitamin B levels in my blood were normal, but your blood keeps your blood levels normal, so don't let the doctor say that is not it. I have been on...
  10. I found that some of the Zone bars are gluten-free. I called the company and they said my favorite, Fudge Graham, is gluten-free. It is odd because I know that we can't have graham, but they assured me there was no graham in it. There were several others that were gluten-free as well.
  11. I might be mistaken, but doesn't Tylenol contain gluten? I know Advil is O.K..
  12. Thanks so much for letting us know about this place. I live in Northville, MI and am going to go there this week!
  13. I just want to say that everyone that has any kind of condition always assumes that there is a cover up at the pharmaceutical companies. I just want to say, as a scientist at a drug company, who also has Celiac, we all have mothers and fathers and sisters, too and a lot of them have diseases that we would love to be able to cure.
  14. I have been getting Vitamin B-12 shots every week for the past 5 weeks. I have a lot of improvement, but still have some symptoms from the deficiency. My best friend is an internist and said you will not see complete improvement for probably 3-6 months. So, hang in there! Also, can you have a nurse or someone in your area give you the shots? You would...
