  1. Bit of an update since I've been skulking off for so long... And a big thank you for everyone's good wishes In Nov, I had loads of different drs appointments. They found a clotting issue which might account for the miscarriages and I ended up in the ED following a palpitation / hyperventitlation episode. I then had a dermatologist's appointment to...
  2. April and Donna, My sister is a nurse and one of her patients told her that being zinc deficient can cause ringing in the ears. Don't know whether that's true but I'm zinc deficient and have the ear ringing too. Waiting to see if supplementing does the trick on that one. Rachel, Please could you post a link on the hypercoagulation? I think you probably...
  3. Hello everyone! Haven't been around for ages as my depression has been back with a vengeance so I haven't felt like reading lots of posts or responding myself. Sorry. I hope you're all making good progress. I'm just driving through to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year Susie x PS I didn't get glutened by my...
  4. Rachel, I can't believe I typed overactive Nope, I'm definitely hypothyroid. Also suffering a lot at the moment with things I'm trying to say coming out all wrong Seriously, I am, not just on this one occasion. Even DS has noticed it and sometimes despairs of me because I can't get my words out. Don't know what that one's about as I don't feel particularly...
  5. Hi Jin Very interesting about the casein. Please could you let me have that link? Not sure about being thirstier when I drink the lemon, will have to experiment to see! Mind you, I'm thirsty nearly all the time anyway. Sorry to hear Dart's had another seizure How's he doing? That's me exactly! I always say to other people who make...
  6. Kristina, I thought of something. Sorry if it's been mentioned before. Have you been checked for a hiatal (sp?) hernia? That can cause reflux problems too. I've got a small one and it definitely adds to my pain. They're very common.
  7. Hi Kristina Good to hear you survived the test. The regurgitation/ reflux thing is actually a fairly common symptom of glutening - a lot of people have mentioned it here and I'm definitely one that has that effect. It's what landed me in the ED when I eventually was diagnosed. I also think that mono is often a trigger for coeliac and the 'maladapelted...
  8. Are you all OK? was there any damage?
  9. Hi Kristina I think your results suggest you've been glutened. What did the allergist say about your up to date coeliac panel? I know you're very careful now with what you're eating, but when did you start limiting your foods so much? It looks like something gluteny is getting you somewhere. I hope it goes well tomorrow. Do you mean by upper GI that you...
  10. Hi Deb I have a similar problem, but I think the ingredient I'm reacting to is magnesium sterate. I'm going to be patch tested in a couple of weeks time. Is this something you could do? It does sound like an allergic reaction that you're having. It is difficult to find stuff on the internet about this. Susie
  11. for those who take magnesium, what time of day do you take it?
  12. Hello everyone! Here's my update. I spoke to a different lady at Foresight at the end of last week and she said the nicotinamide (a B vitamin, I never remember which ) is probably disturbing my sleep, so to take it in the morning. She also said I can take the vit c and garlic throughout the day, to see if I can stomach it better. Unfortunately, DS...
  13. Our internet connection's been down for a few days, so it might take a while to catch up. Just wanted to add that it's great to 'see' you Ami, I've been thinking about you and wondering how you're doing. Take care. Susie x
  14. Mia, good to hear your IV was a bit better without the vit c What problems do you (and Rachel) get with vit c? My detox is vit c, plus garlic and milk thistle. It keeps me awake at night and makes my whole digestive system feel terrible But it does seem to be working. I've not taken it the past couple of days coz I need sleep. Trying to figure out what...
  15. Hi Kassandra I agree with what's been said already about thyroid. Blood tests aren't necessarily the best way of figuring out what's going on. Here's a UK site that's great about thyroid: www.thyroid-disease.org.uk www.stopthethyroidmadness.com is also really helpful. (BTW, Dr Peatfield who is mentioned on the UK site is the dr I'm trying...
  16. sorry - that last post was for melmak
  17. Hey, I really feel for you. I've had similar problems and a lot of others have here too, so you're in the right place Some thoughts of mine...please forgive me if this is a repeat of any info that's already been posted here. It sounds like really bad reflux. Are you taking anything from the dr to help with reflux? Could you have an ulcer? Or even...
  18. sorry you've had such a bad night. What were the foods you had? Did you take any supplements or meds? Have you used any beauty products? Lets help you get to the bottom of this. Hugs Susie x
  19. At least you guys are all on the same continent! I guess that makes me the UK ambassador to Rachelville
  20. A quick drive by here as I'm looking after a poorly DS Donna, have a great cruise Patti, thinking of you unpacking Rachel take a look at www.chocolate.org It's great and lists all the truly good things about chocolate (ie scientifically good things ) Susie x
  21. Please could I have some Rachelville help? I phone Foresight (the pregnancy charity that did my hair testing and makes supplements I can actually take) yesterday to order some magnesium. I ended up having a long conversation with the lady there about lead toxicity. She thinks that when I make progress with the lead, my intolerances and allergies will...
  22. Hi Jin If you liked that article, you'll love this one: Open Original Shared Link It's very scientific! Susie x
  23. Jin, and anyone else interested in magnesium deficiency, this link is very interesting and draws a strong link between magnesium deficiency and depression. Maybe this is part of why we 'self-medicate' with choclate when we are depressed. Open Original Shared Link The one point I'd like some clarification on, is why this article is suggesting the magnesium...
  24. Yes please Saying a prayer for you tonight (it's bedtime here) Rachel Susie x
  25. At work, so this will be a quick one. Just wanted to thank Rachel for the stuff on lymph and swelling. That's always been an issue for me and is particularly bad at the moment, so I can empathise with Christine. Thanks for posting the supplements list. I'll take a really good look at that when i get home. With the chlorella, do you take it in liquid or...
