  1. I have been on the core program and the flex program. I am on flex now. I only do online. I find it is very easy to follow boing gluten free. You pretty much just stick to 5 fruits, 3 dairy, and you have soo many points in a day. You can eat whatever you want as long as you track points. I did the meetings about 5 years ago, and it didn't work for me...
  2. In my early days as celiac before I knew I had it, i would do that all the time. I would just go into the bathroom and vomit and feel better immediately.
  3. I agree, try upping the potassium intake. Another food that has potassium is peaches. I try to eat both once a day. Sometimes I make vanilla pudding and cut up peaches and bananas and throw them in the pudding. Makes a yummy night time TV snack.
  4. Do you think maybe the migraines and brain fog are connected?
  5. I was wondering about the whole brain fog everyone occasionally lists as a symptom. Last night, I had something really weird happen. I don't know if it is associated with my celiac or not. First I got a bad headache and then I was talking to my kids but it was like what I wanted to say and what I was actually saying were 2 different things. i was making...
  6. I am sorry you are having a hard time. Glutenfree packaged products like bagels, do not sit well with me either. I really have to make things from scratch. the only thing that does not bother me at all is the kinnickinnick donuts. But i can only eat one at a time. I bought some animal crackers from them, and I hope they don't bother me, cause when i was...
  7. Thank you for the info!! It's good when we can all find something tasty!
  8. I ate that for 3 days straight in the morning. I didn't have any major symtoms. I hope you don't. Sorry.
  9. Are you sure that it does not contain wheat starch? I have a box with 75% less sugar, exp is sep 14 06, and the 4th ingredient from the last says wheat starch. I missed it at first, so i bought it. Just checking.
  10. I was Dx when I was 19, and I didn't really understand the disease too well. I was pretty much told to just stay away from bread and cookies and stuff like that. I still had a lot of symptoms but the bulk of it went away. I got pregnant for my son fairly easy and had a normal pregnancy. I had some symptoms just from not knowing all the hidden glutens and...
  11. I've been getting little sores on my scalp recently. I think it is because of my shampoo. Maybe I am more sensitive lately. What kind do you all use? Your responses are greatly appreciated!
  12. Ha Ha. I know what you mean! I've explained celiac to my family numerous times. My stepmother thinks that I can't have starch, as in potatoes. It's odd. I go to family functions where there is food and she thinks she's being nice to me by making brownies. She says here Shell, I made these for you. I'm like yeah, sure, thanks. I'll pass on those, I...
  13. That is soo right that you said that you could not stand yourself, because I remember on one occasion I actually told my doctor those exact words!!!! She put me on depression meds back then. They didn't help too well.
  14. I've gained some weight since going gluten free, i think because I am absorbing nutrients now and i was not before. I too binge occasionally.. I agree with the whole potato chip thing!!
  15. That article is soo true. I am soo much more calm and easier to live with now that i am gluten free. I used to be hot headed and fly off the handle a lot. My mind is much more clear now. Now, I find that I am just soo much more patient. Soo, being gluten free does have it's benefits!
