  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. Thanks for the info. I love Waldo's Pizza, not sure of the address, they even have a few desserts.
  3. I am from Missouri, a very small town. That is why I started selling gluten free foods in our store because I was tired of havint to drive an hour to get my foods.
  4. My doctor's note last year stated "This patient suffers from sudden, unexpected bouts of explosive diarrhea. I do not feel for this reason she could serve on a jury." I laughed as I mailed it off waiting for the two-three week period of time before I was told if it was an aceptable excuse. Five days later I received my letter that I would be excused from...
  5. Off the gluten subjct but related to Reader's Digest, I USED to subscribe and I am so ticked at them. Last year I decided not to renew because I just didn't want to renew. So when my subscription came due I didn't pay for the next year, little did I know that the fine print do nothing if you want to continue so I still received the mag so this year I have...
  6. Since I live in a little rural town and my dd lives in "the city" for Mother's day she went to her local Starbucks and bought 13 of them for me. One was to try when she gave them to me, the other 12 were to freeze and eat when I needed (wanted) one. She's so sweet.
  7. OMGoodness, I thought I was the only person who loved my waffles with peanut butter and Smuckers Orange marmalade!!! That's so awesome
  8. Sounds real yummy. Thanks for sharing.
  9. My mouth is actually watering. Thanks for letting us know.
  10. Your welcome
  11. I buy from them regularly. I even get e-mails from them which the one Monday showed the new gluten free item. I always check the web site before I buy and I have talked to them on the phone when the ingredient list isn't too clear. I have never had a negative response from them. I get the chicken breasts, veggies, jumbo shrimp, and have never had any...
  12. I am so excited. I watch that show and was so glad to hear that they were doing a gluten free dush. My rep will be here Friday and I am going to get several.

    ARCHIVED Doc In Kansas City?

I do not know one but I do want to watch responses due to the fact I live only an hour east of KC and would like to find one also. My general PCP is great but said that I should probably find someone who is a specialst in this area. Good luck and welcome to the area.
  15. I love these, especially with frsh strawberries and whipped cream over them. YUM
  16. I have eaten at the one in the Kansas City area several times and I love it. I even picked out a sauce I thought was safe and the cook told me that I shouldn't eat it and suggested another one. How sweet.
  17. Thanks. I am very excited.
  18. Thanks, I'll do my best.
  19. I got a phone call today from , I think, the president of our local AARP asking me if I would be willing to speak at their May meeting about Celiac and the foods we sell at our store. I am so excited that people are starting to take an interest in our foods and Celiac. I told her I would love too. Yeah
  20. We just stayed at a hotel this weekend that had a breakfast. I took my own cereal cup with me and got milk, juice, coofee, banana from there. I also had a scoop of eggs and a sausage pattie and did not have any problems. The only problem was smelling the others baking belgian waffles (lol)
  21. I am so mad I could cry. After reading this post I just can't believe that they can say 100 percent gluten free when it isn't. I have been VERY sick for the last month. I have had severe abdominal pains and diarrhea at least 9 days this month so far. My doctor has had me on 3 different medicines and I even had to have a CT scan to try to find out why...
  22. Thanks for the ideas. I am excited about doing this but also a little nervous. But I have about 5 months to get it all together.
  23. Thanks for that info. I will sure do it.
  24. As a few of you may know we own a hardware store but because of my celiac we also sell gluten free foods. Recently I have had several newly dianosed customers who come in for food but also just to have someone who understands to talk to. I have been toying with the idea of hosting a three hour -seminar, symposium, meeting??- so we can meet together and...
  25. Thanks for the info and the congrats to everyone.
