  1. When I was a kid, I was a known wheat allergy. Alas, the thing seemed to 'go away' around purbery, and then came back hard, but by that time I thought it had to be something else........ *ARGH!* But when I was going to grade school, I used thermos jars. They are like a regular thermos, only shorter, with larger tops.
  2. Be careful of indian foods, some indian spices can cause truely horrible reactions in people who have intestinal disorders. I made a simple curry as a progect for an anthropology class. The D lasted days and was pressurized like a firehose. And it was gluten free. I did a little digging, and found out about the spices. On the other hand, I have a great...
  3. On a serious note, I say we always start the sentance "I'm gluten intolerant, What do you have that's glutne free?" With the first part, we communicate the important fact that we are not being fashionable, which should do. Now about those kisses....
  4. I would love to see more glutenfree stores, but I wonder if they would econmically viable as more then a 'hole in the wall/hard to find" kind of place as far as local shoppers go. The same goes for restaurants. Yes, I want to see it, but is it economically viable? It would be tragic beyond words for such a place to open, and end up bankrupting the fine people...
  5. Yes, Yes, Line up girls, There's plenty of me to go around, and all my kisses are gluten-free, and certified as such by the FDA and the State of Georgia.
  6. How much hot chili do you eat? Could it be a bad reaction to the spices?
  7. Hormel's is suppose to be safe, but their chili seems to give me D. I'm not sure why, maybe it's the spices? Maybe it's not as safe as they say. Anyone have any bad expeirnces with Hormels?
  8. Woo hoo! I'm in the top ten! I've never been on the cutting edge of fashion before. Will this get me girls?
  9. That seems suspcious to me.... I have a vague memory of that being chock full of modified food starch and or MSG, but it's been awhile since I read the label on it. Pretty much anything labeled 'lite' is only lite because they remove 20 percent of the product and replace it with 20% filler, often wheat. I sometimes find that my D. get slowed down...
  10. You used your own dressing at home? Have you tried this dressing before with good results? I was making my own dressing... Ranch with those packets of spices? Made me horridly sick. I firmly beleive it was the MSG. (Some say MSG is safe, I disagree quite firmly.)
  11. I'm in dunwoody. And you know, it's really not that suprising it's it's really every 1 in 200.... What's suprising is that there aren't more.
  12. OK, I bought new shampoo. Is Ivory soap safe? It says "99%" or 100% soap on it, but what's in soap? I got a bar of dial just in case.

    ARCHIVED Energy Please.

Mostly I like practising the Liechtenauer system, (on good energy days) but pretty much anything would be good. What is Quinoa? Must look this up..
  14. ARGGGG!!!! <repeated and rather vicious swearing edited out> It's in my SHAMPOOO!!!! OK, that Shampoo is in the trash....but how can it get from my head to my intestines? Bloodstream sure, but intestines in particular?

    ARCHIVED Energy Please.

This is something of a concern to me as well, but rather then 'ready made energy booster' products, I'm really more interisted in gluten free 'every day' energy. So many people get their carbohydrates from wheat, such as wheat pasta or whatnot. I don't feel like I'm getting enough enery from the gluten free products I'm eating. Can anyone give me some...
  16. The good kind. You know what I mean, the ones where they take things seriously, and don't dress all the bad guys up in what they pulled out of the Tandy Leather company's dumpster, or make the good guy's outfits out of dirt bike gear that doesn't fit. Or get 'snuck up on from behind' by mindless zombies, 50 times in a row in the same movie. As to...
  17. Well, I'm not sure the technical forum is the best place for a hello, but alright. I'm 28, and I was dianosed as a wheat allergy as a child. It seemed to 'go away' around puberty, came back with a vengence but took me too long to recognise it. I'm not sure if I'm a celiac or just allergic to wheat and 'maybe' a few other things. My primary symptom...
  18. I just got here, and I'm rather overwhelmed by the amount of information. My primary question is "Why is every topic pinned?" I was under the impression from other forums that a pinned topic stays at the top of the topic list, but if that's so then the first 5 pages of topics on some of these forums would be static, and that seems odd. Is that the case...
  19. I have an important question in this reguard. I'm off gluten, and I still get the runs. Is this a 'symptom of recovery' or a sign I'm allergic to something else?
