    You got it, Michael
  4. Ooh...very interesting information from Anne Lee about oats. I'll put it in a post under the coping section which I'll do later on the Celiac conference.
  5. Copy the information from the post. Then paste it into your post. Then type in your answers underneath each question. Or type all the answers in and then delete the original question...does that make sense?
  6. Dr. Green talked about 6 things they're researching...I'll make a post under the coping with section on the conference later.

  9. Thank you I just got back and I typed out a very long post about it......and then I hit add reply and my connection starts to go and it didn't go through....lost it all
  10. Yes--I've never had an issue with their fries. Jessica, I wasn't suggesting that they were lying--just that the fries were gluten-free unless the corporation was taking the great risk of lying to customers who could get very sick as a result. I also think that if they weren't gluten-free, we'd all be complaining about contamination; in reality, very few...
  11. All right, bye everyone!
  12. Open it up . Basically, it's a survey...after awhile you become friends with some here and good acquaintances with most, so it's interesting to learn more about them...lifestyle, spouse, children, location, age...that type of thing. It's fine, though, if you don't reply to such threads....this is information that is open to anyone who wants to read it...
  13. Okay, I've summarized your questions into shorter, more compressed questions. Tell me if you'd prefer that I phrase your question differently than what is below: How, if at all, is the medical community emphasizing to their physicians, the importance of testing for Celiac? Also, how is the medical community emphasizing that Celiac appears in so many different...
  14. Okay--I have all the questions written down in the notebook I'll also be taking notes in. In the situations where some of you asked multiple questions, I might not be able to ask all of them in the 20 min. Q & A period, but I'll try to phrase the questions in ways that...compress the most important information into them. I will check tomorrow morning...
  15. From Jessica's support group (USA Silly Yaks): So...no oats for me!
  16. A small bit in this article on the celiac disease article from last week and about how it should've mentioned some more about the symptoms: Open Original Shared Link
  17. Modified food starch doesn't have to be made of wheat. It is sometimes gluten-free, sometimes not...you just have to check.

    ARCHIVED Gastro Dr.

The bloodtest would probably be a TtG IgA, but you can ask to make sure. In that case, a 17 would be definite.

  21. Surgery? What's the surgery for? Much, much better than the CSA, right Richard? Hmmm...I would love to go to something like that...I'll start working on my parents
  22. Yes , this too shall pass. Yep...that can be problematic. There's a list of contamination problems at Delphi, linked Open Original Shared Link And the telephone is on here....also the keyboard of your computer. Then there are a lot of obvious ones: the silver drawer, putting gluten-free food on the contaminated counter, etc. This might help? And...
  23. Awww...I'm so sorry to hear that you can't shake your symptoms completely . Feel better! You said your antibodies were high....but didn't you say awhile ago that budesonide might contain gluten, or was questionable? Oh well--I'm not a doctor--feel better, though.

  25. My results got back from the lab pretty quickly, but the doctor took a couple days longer to contact me about them. Well, if the average American celiac has the disease for 11 years before getting diagnosed, I guess a few extra days isn't that big a deal. It is very overwhelming at first--and depressing for that matter--to cut out all those foods and...
