  1. Yea--they say they're gluten-free, so unless they're lying to us , then they fries are gluten-free. And such a large chain would not take the risk of lying to consumers...it would be terrible for their name. Here's McD's gluten-free list in the US: Open Original Shared Link
  2. You're not doing anything wrong--we just can't post pictures here. You can only post pics in your avatar....I guess it's a...misleading option
  3. I agree--that would be amazing...a simple "gluten-free" on the box would save them the trouble of having to have these complicated labeling policies, anyway.
  4. It is completely worth it for the reasons Jessica mentioned above, in addition to how it makes you feel in general. And you didn't fail if you weren't 100% gluten-free the first day. I didn't get all the kinks out of my diet until I was a month in (I wasn't checking natural flavors, artificial flavors, modified food starch, etc.). Just get familiar with...
  5. I don't get it...why do they have to change the formula? It just doesn't make sense to me that they have to add wheat or another form of gluten to the product. Oh, well...stock up! Maybe temporarily clear out one of the kids' bedrooms so you can stack it up
  6. Good point, but don't they say that they won't hide gluten in the ingredients? For example, if it's in modified food starch, they use parentheses. And graham flour is on the forbidden list, so they're not hiding under a questionable ingredient. https://www.celiac.com/st_prod.html?p_prodi...-13105527776.47 (graham flour is next to "germ")
  7. Did it mention my reply that came right before Jessica's? Maybe it has some strange policy where it only mentions one reply, knowing that you'll check back for my reply and see hers. And then once you've read those, they'll notify you of the next reply that you haven't read? Trying to figure out the twisted logic of the automated mail message

  10. I have about 10 links to eating out in NY in this post: Open Original Shared Link
  11. Yep--and Rich Gannon (NFL quarterback) has a celiac daughter...Danielle, who made the chocolate cake mix
  12. Yup...they're not the most well-liked celiac group...Richard doesn't like them at all, either
  13. Oh, you can opt out anytime you want. With many groups, you need to join to post or even read messages. I've joined a couple Yahoo groups (but I read more than post)...anyway, I joined one for the New York area--then discovered that there are virtually no posts made and a lot of spam...so I unjoined...it's not a big commitment.
  14. That's exactly what happens to me sometimes...like I said, I don't subscribe to many topics, but the with the ones I do, it does the same thing.
  15. FDA clears Stratagene autoimmune test. Article below: Open Original Shared Link
  16. Found this on another Yahoo support group (SillyYaks). We have a "celebrity" celiac...the person in The Incredibles (pretty good movie for animation, by the way).

    ARCHIVED Applebees

Indeed--the general consensus is that Applebees is unaccomodating. Try Outback Steakhouse
  18. I've had that happen...sort of. I get notified of replies to one topic every now and then...and then I don't get notified for some posts...and then it works again later. I don't really use that feature, though, since I check MANY, MANY times per day...so I just view new posts every time.
  19. You sound celiac to me...1% of the population has it--gives you good odds to start--and then, your symptoms match up. Actually, the most common symptom is fatigue...not diarrhea, not gas...not any GI symptom. You have the most common symptom, along with a few other "typical" celiac symptoms: mood swings, depression, and irritability. I think you should...
  20. Yep--Gatorade is gluten-free, as is Powerade and Propel.
  21. The following companies will clearly list gluten (unless otherwise noted to list only wheat): Aunt Nelly's Balance Baskin Robbins Ben & Jerry Betty Crocker Blue Bunny Butterball *lists wheat only Breyers Campbells Cascadian Farms Celestial Seasonings ConAgra *lists wheat only Country Crock Edy's General Mills Good Humor Green Giant...
  22. I know--I'm surprised it was updated so quickly. Oooh...I bet your ink cartridge is low
  23. Oh, I found this: Open Original Shared Link Looks like somebody else had the idea of starting a gluten-free Weight-Watchers support group as well . This one is on Yahoo...you could start your own (free) if you have a Yahoo e-mail account (also free), or you could join this one, which already has 48 members.
  24. Yup...that was in Richard's list (above).....seems like he really did his homework Yea--I don't like it, because it seems like you can never try anything new--or if you do, it's a drag because you need to call the company, hold for ten minutes in the store, ask them questions.......ugg.
  25. My mom said to me at the beginning of the diet that she dreaded going into a grocery store because she just got so depressed seeing all the stuff I couldn't eat...now it's not a big deal, but it was that way for the first month or two. It will get better... Roo, I'm a teenaged boy also (14)
