  1. I like CA Baby, Aubrey Organics and BeanTreeSoap There are so many good ones in the health market these days!
  2. I would take her in to rule out Bladder Infection and ask about their thoughts on Diabetes. I know my own dd had a bladder infection and she didn't express pain or a fever right away. (never did have a fever). Also, I would look at the amount of sugars she gets in a day and also protein. Personally, I get many common hypoglycemic symptoms if I am...
  3. When reading those symptoms I was thinking Dairy sounded highly suspect, and then I saw that they eat a lot of dairy! EEK!!! The allergist will test for an allergic response /histamine respone on the skin level. This will not show if the reaction is internal with acid reflux, Celiac, or a slew of other symptoms. It will ONLY show the reactions that...
  4. In theory a gluten intollerant person may not get the Vilil damage that shows conclusive Celiac with current standards of biopsy testing. BUT that doesn't mean that person won't have other health and autoimmune problems! That is why I feel so strongly that those who get an "all clear" from their biopsy should still try a gluten free diet after the fact...
  5. We like the shampoo bar from BeanTree because it is just olive oil with no added worries (of course, lye to make it soap! LOL) I like the aubrey organics line of products. They are very skin safe. I use their sunblocks and I also use Alba sunblocks. I use Aubrey's silk transculent powder for face. Homemade lip gloss/balm is easy to make, and...
  6. I have terrible terrible awful stomach pains when I tried a gluten-free mix by Bob Red MIlls. It had bean flours in it, though, and I think the problem was that they weren't cooked well enough and / or I ate too much of them. I don't do well with beans! Many people don't. If you find that a mix containing bean flours is bothering you, try another mix...
  7. I make my own. It's a two step spray and powder. I think it works as well as any alum containing deodorant and you have the advantage of scenting it to compliment your own scent and style. I love rose and sandalwood together on my skin, for example. Here is my recipe I designed this deodorant spray as a more natural alternative to commercial products...
  8. I had heard on another gluten-free list that their Vit E is derived from a gltuen source? I don't know if that is taken into consideration, but I'd be on the lookout for vit E oil and avoid those just in case!
  9. I also love the Breads by Anna / Gluten Evolution. What I love about her breads are that they TASTE GOOD and that they have such WONDERFUL ingredients! It is a fabulous choice when you compare it with the ingredients in some other gluten-free premade breads. I was lucky enough to attend one of her classes and her recipe for stuffing was just delicious...
  10. I go through phases on luch foods I like to eat spinach with salsa and boiled egg cut into it. I add a little veganaisse (sounds weird, but tastes good!). If you eat bacon, some crumbled bacon is good! I've been making homemade gluten-free bread lately too, and that is really easy to eat with or without anything. Yum!
  11. We typically use Toms of Maine or other natural brands like Weleda, but you could certainly make your own paste with a combination of fresh mint leaves, baking soda, and a bit of water. Just keep a mint plant by your sink and pestle/mortar for mixing together a paste for use (if you don't mind the time involved). For multivitamins, we use American Health...
