  1. Well, thank God! What a relief! I thought you were depressed, you silly girl; didn't know you were thinking about your bones! Fosamax is what I take for osteoporosis, plus vitamin D. I've never heard that prozac could help; must be something new. I won't yell at you about cutting the lexapro dose in half, considering the circumstances. Maybe you...
  2. Susie, I echo everything you said about Prozac! Don't know why you're hungry all the time. Maybe you're getting better??? I love you dearly also! Cissie Look who's calling people crazy, Esteemed Goofiness! I emailed you earlier today. Did it get lost in the ether again?
  3. One of my sisters has taken it for years, with remarkably good results. I just emailed you, so read and heed!!! I love you dearly! Cissie
  4. Guess what! I took my socks off, and no more pings! Good night all! I love you! Cissie
  5. I'm sure he would consult Modigliani. Shhhhh. Listen. Do y'all hear those pings?
  6. I beg your pahdon!!! To whom are you speaking? Granted, Madame Celia is a bit of a nutcase; I, however, am considered quite crazy in all but the best of society! WHAT? CROP CIRCLES? Celia must leave poor Jim alone so he can investigate immediately!!! Although, on second thought ..... have you been drinking faucet water again? I have it from an unimpeachable...
  7. If Jim had bothered to ask I would have told him. The twinkies were a lure for your dadgoned lizard! I didn't just send sympathies, my dear; I acted! It's not my fault that he turned green! It would never have happened if he had come out of his hidey hole and eaten the darn twinkies. Yes, the sponge situation seems to be unretro and protonic at the...
  8. Listen here, Miss Imbe-CELE! My slippers are black, not blue! How many times do I have to tell you that! I slink around the house every night in my black negligee and sexy black slippers. Only Aaron knows that I wear long woolen underwear beneath all that glamour, and he's not telling! I'm trying to seduce him away from the Commie News Network, which...
  9. Well said, Ravenwood. Amen. God bless The United States of America. Cissie
  10. So ... we've gone from water to terrorists. If I can't take my own water aboard a plane, I just won't fly. No problem; it's such a tiny sacrifice. I know, however, that many people don't have that option. Is it possible to call ahead of time, and request a specific water for someone on a restricted diet? I really don't know. Any thoughts on that? ...
  11. Just a drive-by. I'm finding it difficult to understand what some of y'all are saying about the connection between gluten intolerance/celiac disease and bipolar disorder. Anyone care to enlighten me? Is this just a theory, or has it been scientifically proved? What about all the people who are bipolar and don't have celiac? I believe it could be...
  12. ANDREA, you don't have to have celiac disease or gluten intolerance to have a B-12 deficiency. It's an autoimmune disease, separate from any other autoimmune disease. Maybe you should get re-tested. If you have it, you have to take shots the rest of your life. Cissie
  13. CARLA, please DO get a B-12 test! If you need B-12, you probably would need a lot more than what you've been taking sublingually, at least at first. Cecile was so low on B-12 that she had to have a shot every day for a while, to get her built up. So did my sister. Any doctor can help you with this - he doesn't have to be intelligent!!! Cissie
  14. Good morning, all! I haven't been on since Friday afternoon, so I'm too far behind to try to catch up. LEAH, I am so sorry to hear about your friend. I know there's nothing I can say right now to ease the sadness and aching, but I send you prayers, love, and hugs. My mother used to quote something that perhaps, when your grief is not so raw, you'll...
  15. Hi, Deb! Very brief synopsis: White Russia/Belorussia/Lithuania - a principality in the northwest, next to Poland on a map - under Russian control at time of the Socialist Revolution (1917) against the Tzar and his government; the Revolution was almost immediately afterward taken over by the radical Bolsheviks (Marxists/Communists). A counterrevolutionary...
  16. HERE I AM, ROBBIN! I've been dealing with stuff not connected to gluten. One thing is that I think I have pernicious anemia. Over the last three or four years I've gradually lost my energy, motivation, etc., and I sleep way too much! Then another problem cropped up that really scared me; sometimes my throat closes up and I can't swallow! Most of the...
  17. Hi, gfp! Very interesting concept! Have you read Arthur Koestler"s controversial but thought-provoking "The Thirteenth Tribe"? From the jacket: ". . . traces the history of the ancient Khazar Empire, a major but almost forgotten power in Eastern Europe, which in the Dark Ages became converted to Judaism. . . . ." Koestler provides extensive References...
  18. Andrea, I had no idea before the test! It explains a lot about problems with d, when I couldn't pinpoint the cause. I've known for years about msg, but until I came to celiac.com, didn't know about the hidden msg. I've always read ingredient lists on foods, and thought I was so smart! Hah!!! I even thought I had become lactose intolerant, but couldn...
  19. Cecile, you should absolutely post when you feel like that!!! This is a SUPPORT forum, you silly girl, and we're here to support you with love and hugs and prayers. I'm so glad your wonderful doctor put your mind at ease! Hope you get some much-needed sleep, darlin'. Cissie
  20. Oh, Robbin! I was so happy to see your post! I've been worried about you, because you hadn't posted in a couple of days. I was about to PM you, but thought I'd do one last check of the forum first. Our hubbies are so alike! When the occasion calls for it, dh submits to wearing a tie, but it's always an OLD tie. He won't wear new ones; just puts...
  21. This is just unbelievable! On top of getting cced, now you have to deal with bacteria!!! Have you found out what coliform bacteria is? If it ain't one thing, it's another! Have you ever had the black stuff before? Scary! Cissie Edit: Love your new picture! You are a beautiful woman!!!
  22. MEN!!! Their minds just don't work like ours. Mouse, my husband has always confused my April birthday with that of his first wife's April birthday! They're only one day apart. He even had my birthday wrong on our first joint tax returns, so every year, for 30 years now, I remind him - just in case! I've always thought the birthday thing was funny...
  23. Cecile, I've never cared for bread, so I don't miss it. But DH is a bread addict!!! Since he's full-blooded Italian, he was very interested when I told him about the prevalence of celiac disease in Italy. He's trying to go gluten-free now, but the only gluten-free bread he likes is rye. I ordered it from the gluten-free bakery online. I'm so sorry...
  24. HORRORS!!!!! I forgot about those evil things!!! Don't have one. Ain't gonna get one. Now I'll have nightmares!!!
  25. Carla, Armetta, I'm always available to give helpful advice on True Life. Cecile, you're as crazy as I am. And is Dances with Rivers still in that garden? She will need coffee for her aches and pains tonight. Or . . . a nice box of frozen spinach? Good night and pleasant dreams to all. Cissie
