  1. The older I get the more I see that what is wrong is not with me My wrinkled smile is quick and broad I now find "unique" what I once thought "odd" My baggy jeans can go anywhere I don't waste my time 'doing' my hair I've funny friends and hearty laughs mostly from my aging gaffs I wouldn't change the world I...
  2. I don't know the answer to your question, but do you really want to put all that sugar and chemicals into your body?
  3. For some reason I find this quite amusing. Trying to figure out what a labtop would actually be... You look fab Patti, but do try to <snort> next time your pic is took.
  4. jealous Just wanted to share with you all - I'm planning on thinking today. This requires loud music (headphones) and no shoes and much tugging of hair (not sure why this is necessary, but it seems to be). If all goes well I will actually have a complete outline of everything I've done (on one project) for the last two years. Don't see any...
  5. Nooooooo go for the full Monty!!!
  6. You tell that boy to behave and stop scaring his mother!
  7. OK, I accidentally 'friended' someone on da book instead of hitting ignore. We apparently were in the same HS graduating class, but I have no idea who she is. What's the etiquette here? Send her a 'who in H are you?' note? Unfriend her? Pretend it never happened and ignore all her posts? Arrrg. Must pay attention before hitting buttons.
  8. Funny how our bodies are smart than our brains. If only we were better listeners.
  9. me too. D'ya suppose it was all that gluten in it?
  10. I went to bed after one. It was a long weekend.
  11. I'm trying out the new martini recipe. Maybe after a couple of these everything will be perfectly clear. Good God these are good.
  12. I never quite understand what it is she's trying to say...
  13. Hopefully a world where wheat doesn't go into absolutely everything.
  14. Just spent a couple hours on the lawn swing catching up with my neighbor. Ya gotta love someone who's response to your answer "Nothing's new with me" is "Oh good!" Why is it that news is usually bad?
  15. Parade was fun. Saw a giant Open Original Shared Link being pulled by the Open Original Shared Link car. I have a new favorite drink chocolate martinis  2 parts chocolate vodka, one part godiva chocolate liqueur. Shake over ice.
  16. Headin' off to be in the parade. If any of y'all are ever in Seattle around the fourth, you ought to consider coming to BI for the parade. We have the scout troops, and the biggest tow truck on the peninsula, and last year the brand new garbage trucks were in it. Can't wait to see what makes its debut this year....the boot that kicked the mayor out...
  17. You can look them in the eye and say " I watched my beautiful, beautiful child be sick for x years and couldn't do anything to help her. Now that I know what was making her so sick, I am prepared to do anything to protect her. I realize that it's unfair that her illness should impact you, but when we are together as a family, it does. We can work together...
  18. Happy Independence Day, Americans! And, of course, my condolences to the Brits for losing your colony.
  19. I think this is true. My boss suggested to me that I might be having a problem with wheat. He's an MD, does this mean I'm doctor-diagnosed? When I told a friend how much better I felt without gluten, she immediately took it out of her diet and started feeling better. It never even occurred to her to ask the medical system what she should be eating....
  20. I'm driving back from the store, and coming towards me I see a motorcycle with a sidecar - which is unusual enough - and I realize that there's a small person in the sidecar. I'm looking at this as he approaches thinking OMG this guy has his four-year-old in a sidecar!!. As he passes, the passenger turns to me, and it's a little white dog, complete with...
  21. Maybe you can make a deal with him. You quit smoking and he quit gluten. You can go through it together
  22. So halfway between Toronto and Seattle appears to be Pierre, S Dakota. I really like you Mims, but maybe not enough to drive through Montana and South Dakota during the hottest part of the year...
