  1. gluten stuff aside, let us know what Dollywood is like.
  2. HOT!!!!! wwwhhhhhiiiiiiiinnnnnnnneeeeee
  3. It looks like an online shopping site that you can pay $15 a month to find out if your ketchup, or whatever is gluten-free. Kinda pricey in my opinion.
  4. chicken wings are usually breaded, but what was wrong with the fries?
  5. Hugs to all of us. Will try to make as many people as possible laugh today, in honor of Les.
  6. I can eat no fresh corn, but a small amount of corn chips. I think the best plan is to be aware that processing changes things, and those changes may be good, or bad, for you. It's up to you to figure it out. I also can't tolerate any soy protein, but do okay with soy lecithin.
  7. Fab dinner last night. Open Original Shared Link Expecting an appallingly hot day today (ok, not as hot as Patti and Suze, but hey, this is Seattle).
  8. Making that almond orange cake again, this time to take to dinner at a friends house. This'll be my first dinner made by someone who is also gluten-free. I am completely non-stressed about going, which makes me realize how much unrecognized stress I usually feel about going to someone's house.
  9. I actually rarely go beyond saying 'it makes me very sick'. I figure most people really aren't interested in the hows and whys...
  10. Are you on the right? or the left?
  11. You can try the poison thing. Or, since it's an immune response, tell them that every time you get even a little bit of gluten it's like getting the flu. How many times in a row would they be willing to suffer through a stomach flu before they started being careful of what they did?
  12. My memory improved after altering my diet. Also, a friend of mine who is using exogenous estrogen/progesterone told me that her short term memory suffers badly when she's low on estrogen. I take herbal estrogen type pills and have also noticed that I have trouble with short term memory if I skip a day.
  13. I miss Emmy's morning wake-up hug
  14. ***Personal opinion alert*** That's complete and utter crap. The human race survived for thousands of years without grain. Ask him to name you ONE essential nutrition that can only be found in grain.
  15. Absolutely Em. I honored your dad this morning by putting on glitter (yes, everywhere). I figured it would be something he'd get a kick out of.
  16. Well, I'm fairly obnoxious, so I would shrug and say "I react immediately, she'll react by dying of cancer in ten years, not my problem" and walk away.
  17. I don't think an antibiotic would suppress the immune system.
  18. aaww. He was awfully small. At least you tried. you did good.
  19. I have to learn a programming language. I'm doing the non-required but extraordinarily useful classes on line and what I've learned so far is that knowing English grammar is a disadvantage. (whadya mean you interpret this phrase right to left?? who's dumb idea was that? And why does this phrase need a semicolon, and this one not?)
  20. I was waiting for you to volunteer to go through it with me. Sort of long-distance barmy buddies, weighting our data points together.
  21. Cheap tattoo? Bruise? those'd both be new as well. Blue glitter? For my old and borrowed I wore a ring that my dad had given me mum when I was born.
  22. So instead you posted. good call!
  23. I used some stuff called SlowFE. I don't get constipated with any kind of iron so I can't tell you if it would have made a difference, but is supposed to be well absorbed and non-constipating.
  24. hopefully veerrrrry slow and occasionally indirect...
