  1. Eggs. Or whatever I had for dinner. My breakfasts aren't very traditional.
  2. sounds complicated... "I'm pleased with the new product size and lack of choke. It's a very good choice for controlling choke."
  3. Well, since I'm about to run out the door to catch the ferry, I'll add my ALL HAIL ______________!! OUR NEW MONARCH!!

  6. Dang. Fluffer-Nutter really is a knockout, isn't she? But, fortunately, Suse, even in your haggard and aging state you're pretty striking. I wouldn't settle for the small-thumbed guys just yet....
  7. (As a general statement) Nearly escaped a (not) flushing event m'self. What's going on? Somebody nearing a HUGE number? Resume is almost done. Switched from the "I know how to" format to the "You need me because" format. I wish there were a way to incorporate personal events into the wording: "Processed over 700 samples with no loss of...
  8. and, ahem, I was in the Peace Corps. Not the place to go if you're trying to escape foreigners stalking you.
  9. I buy almost nothing pre-packaged. I shop once a week, on the weekend, and usually make two crockpot meals, maybe three, if one is all veggie. I freeze some of what I make, and eat the rest all week. For variety, or when I run out of the fresh stuff, I pull a bowl of something frozen out of the freezer. I have eggs around for quick meals, and always...
  10. Today's crockpotting adventure is: sweet potatoes with ginger, granny smith apples, a little onion, and cooked in sweet red wine (what else). I'm debating adding mango when it's mostly cooked. (yesterday's adventure was a pot roast sorta thing, for those of yu keeping track) Dunno how I ever lived without one of these things.
  11. Well, my first venture of the day was to run outside in my all-together and chase away the coyote. I'm beginning to think that the difference between predator and prey is the firm knowledge that you will win this, as both of us were convinced this morning that that puppy was going down if he didn't scurry. Now the cats are all upset and growling...
  12. Lots o' wind and power fluctuations here. A light that I thought was burned out and just haven't bothered to change just started working again. Coincidence?? I think not. Clearly the spirit of some past lightbulb has been blown into my house and taken up residence in the empty lightbulb casing.
  13. :o Dang!! The only birds I can identify are the ones created by fingers, usually seen from passing cars.
  14. gah! Here I am reading about Susie's potential love life when I got things to do. gotta update my resume. sshhhh don't tell
  15. It's surprising how much spam people try to post. Checking every thread seemed to be the way to catch most of it. If you come across something you think is spam in the middle of a thread, please use the "report" button that is at the bottom left of every post to let the moderators know that it needs to be removed.
  16. When you first start a thread, it's not 'pinned' and it sits at the bottom of the list of threads in that topic. A moderator checks your thread to make sure it's not spam, and that it's in the right forum, and then 'pins' it. Once it's pinned, it moves to the front of the list.
  17. Yah, but your kind don't leave hair balls......that I know of..

    ARCHIVED Melatonin

Based on this: It looks to me as if the jury is still out. It may rev up your immune system, or it may help regulate it. But the article also seems to indicate that these things happen when you take doses higher than those needed for sleep. So maybe it's not really worth worry about if you're only taking a bit at night.
  20. Dude! Stop feeding her! They only grow when you feed them. Didn't you ever have fish?
  21. 'zooks I'm tired. And once again the wine managed to be ready before the dinner. At least this time I'm actually using a wine glass (because all the water glasses are in the sink ). No hair dilemmas here. Mine is straight. Humid, dry, permed, curled, it's still straight.
