  1. Gads. Can't believe the weekend is already over. They need to come up with some way of earning a living that doesn't require any actual work. Ah well. A cheery mornin' to y'all anyhoo.
  2. Happy Birthday NIK!!!! Completely spoonless day yesterday. For no reason that I can come up with. Today should be better. Chickies are doing well. They're outside with the little cat heating pad under their cat carrier. This morning they had managed to figure out how to get in their actual coop.
  3. I believe hard, aged cheeses like cheddar have low or no lactose. Also yogurt. You could try to find some of those weird cheeses that have added casein, but no other milk products. Those might not be the best choice for figuring out a problem since I think they are made of soy and you might have a small issue with soy that would be magnified if you were...
  4. :o What kind of party is this????
  5. Get a cheap babygate from Goodwill or sump'n. Put it up outside your screen door so he has to chew through two layers.
  6. You can also plant some of these stinky things in your new garden. May not keep the bugs away while you work, but it would make gardening that much more fun.
  7. Cannot even contemplate something too embarassing for Suze to mention in a public space...
  8. Are you still on b/c? It may be normal for whatever type you're using.
  9. 'mornin' My roomie's back. Doesn't merit a 'poopy cow', but at least a mildly constipated calf. I really liked having my house to myself. Ah well. At least the lawn will get mowed. Sposed to be a beautious day. Gonna put the wee chickies outside for the day. I think they'll be fine. I'll put the cat carrier in the pen so they can always huddle...
  10. I actually believe that. You just can't imagine the joy of the fisrt breeze of the morining, the birds waking up, a fresh killed rodent dropped on your pillow, still wet with the morning dew...
  11. Dude! We're mostly female. I'd say he's getting in some practice.
  12. What the heck? Here I am having a glass of scotch instead of before with dinner and nobody's here to play with me?
  13. Tired. Humans were not designed to try to be intelligent for more than a couple days in a row. Any longer than that and my brain presents the human version of the BSOD. (Preceded my the usual warning signs; stuttering, difficulty loading pages, etc).
  14. That doesn't mean that something else isn't making it worse.
  15. Have you ever considered that your hypersensitivity might be caused by something other than Celiac? Someone once posted that she discovered her hypersensitivity was directly related to Lyme. Instead of buying expensive test kits, your time might be better spent reassessing all of your body systems to see if there is something else going on that is enhancing...
  16. There is no treatment for Sjogren's. The symptoms it causes are treated (like, Restasis for dry eyes). How will have a label benefit you?
  17. Bring the wee one. We shall have marvelous adventures and stuff ourselves with non-dangerous food. How do you feel about dim sum?
  18. I think I would try to find a good Naturopath. They are trained in whole body health and should be able to guide you through diet changes as well as being aware of what might be causing other issues. Get recommendations from people you respect. Check the docs accreditation, don't go back to someone who recommends a handful of supplements without trying...
  19. Oh Mimsy, I'm so sorry. Funny how the size of the package doesn't reflect the amount of love. Miss Mousey had a fine life with you, I'm sure.
  20. Open Original Shared Link soooo....I'm pretty sure I've done this study on myself, although not as tightly controlled as theirs. I have data on my baseline inflammatory cytokines, and the response of the same cytokines to assorted bacterial stimuli. I could not see any difference that could not be attributable to "noise" (assay variation). My diet...
  21. If you do it as cutely as that...
  22. Tis true. You finally figure out who you are and can start enjoying it.
  23. I think that's more of the classic malnutrition body type. Looks a lot like pics of starving children in poorer countries.
