  1. I'm currently knitting a 'leftover yarn' scarf. I picked some coordinating colors, and the one I have the most of is striped throughout. Other colors are stripes here and there, of different sizes, depending on how much of that color I have. I've also made hats with a stripe of coordinating color if I don't have enough yarn. You could also do a lengthwise...
  2. Suzzles would never speak to me again!
  3. Hopefully the Ralph-de-Milo in your have will be available soon in a Walmart near you. Tired. Practice runs late for us working girls. My cute little work study student used facebook to communicate with me. For some reason I find this hysterical. Who will buy this wonderful morning? Such a sky you never did see.
  4. Glad you guys are here and silly. Distinctly lacking in humor. Tired and a little frustrated and working on a holiday (at least from home). The boss arranged a meeting for me (us) with a statistician and I still can't prove that I did what I think I did (although I'm getting closer). Heading off to rehearsal. At least my day ends with music and dancing...
  5. Gonna pretend you aren't implying anything about my life
  6. what my data will look like Open Original Shared Link (once PTER tells me all I need to know). Oh yeah, this was the paper that basically started our lab: Open Original Shared Link. We were actually the cover photo Open Original Shared Link
  7. Open Original Shared Link Watch the whole thing
  8. Funny. NPR just did a piece on lower gas prices and mentioned that the drop in price has not increased consumption. It's people like you who refuse to overuse our limited resources that are keeping the economy in the dumps. Do you really want to put 'saving money' ahead of 'oil company profits'? Think about it. 'm sure you'll come up with the right answer...
  9. Dr Fine is now running a company. He has no obligation (or expectation, if you compare him to other companies) to publish.
  10. Well, it sounds like you tried a variety of test methods. Did they agree? Did some show positives that you think are wrong and others show negatives that you also think are wrong? Maybe EL is no better or no worse than any other method. The elimination diet is probably the only true answer, but, as you said, it takes a long time. My personal opinion...
  11. I would amend this to say "all women who are, or may become pregnant". And still, it would be true whether or not you know you have Celiac or gluten intolerance or if you smoke or whatever.
  12. I figured it out!! :dancingaroundroomstupidlywavingarmsguy:
  13. Did removing the foods suggested by EnteroLab make your family healthier? If yes, then for you the test is valid, if no, then for you the test is no more accurate than allergy testing (which is very inaccurate).
  14. Did want to add that one of my more informative genes is called PTER. Figures.
  15. There is no reason to test for things that are not suggestive of a problem. It's unnecessary time and expense and overuse of the medical system. If you have reason to believe you have a medical issue, you should go to your doctor, regardless of the underlying conditions.
  16. Who cares? We still all have to eat the same thing.
  17. I shoulda gotten one of Open Original Shared Link for Max after I had him shaved
  18. OK, nicely said. Now I see your point. I vaguely recall some of the posts you mention, but I also seem to recall that I dismissed them (to myself) because the whole concept of one person being "sicker" than another because some doctor gave them a label is ridiculous to me. Rather than point out that the statements were judgmental, I decided (judged) the...
  19. I didn't read it that way at all. Peter said nothing about gluten intolerant folks. He only stated his own situation. The rest came from you. As doctor Phil says "There is no reality, only perception" If you choose to perceive such a benign statement as judgmental, maybe you should consider your own starting point at figure out why that would be.
  20. Where do you find people like that??? Oh right. That sort of place.
  21. Worth repeating. Nicely said.
  22. That I would believe. I don't think those guys take credit cards. Or checks.
