  1. Tommy (and Susie?) you might want to check into Open Original Shared Link.
  2. GOOSE!!!!! How did this almost slip by!?!?!? HAPPY!!!!
  3. GO! GO! YOU HAVE TO GO! It's easy enough to order non-gluten things in the restaurants (I think its 'sans glutino' but there are cards you can find on the internet). In the stores you can buy cookies and stuff without gluten. We were at an agroturismo for several days and I brought them a package of gluten free pasta from the store and asked them to...
  4. Or just lick it out of the blender I sometimes skip the olive oil and put in some sun dried tomatoes packed in olive oil
  5. Well, I put my 20 year old microwave on freecycle. Nobody wants it. I just don't get it
  6. Take a hit of albuterol 10 mins or so before you run. If you take singulair, take some an hour or so before you start.
  7. Sorry. And everything is just so much harder when you don't feel well. Maybe you can pretend your rosemary tea is hallucinogenic and will take you to a much nicer place
  8. Actually I am. Lymphoma is incredibly rare, and unlikely to ever be an issue. Osteopenia, malabsorption, vitamin deficiencies will right themselves over time, once you've removed the cause. If you feel you have symptoms of these, or any other disease/disorder, you should get it checked, whether or not you have celiac disease. My mom has had multiple...
  9. If you continue to eat gluten. And other autoimmune diseases can occur independent of Celiac, so your doctor should be aware enough to test for them if you present with symptoms. My doc only ran anti gliadin, which was negative. I saw no need for any other testing. One of my brothers had the whole panel run, all negative. Does this mean we don't have...
  10. What she said. Your body learns to do something wrong and you can't unteach it. You could maybe outlast it, if you could absolutely and completely avoid all gluten for 10-20 years. By then all the cells that recognize gluten as a foreign invader may have died off, and you could eat it again.
  11. Thanks. MHC is incredibly complex, even though most people here look at only the simplest aspects of it. I've been wanting to try to understand it better. Still have a long way to go though.
  12. But why test at all? If you know gluten makes you feel bad, why not just take it out of your diet?
  13. y'all mind checking out my response on the 'genetic question' thread and telling me if it makes any sense whatsoever

  16. I did olive oil and salt. Probly be even better with bacon (ala carbonara). Might have the other half with parmesan.
  17. WooHoo! Just convected a psgetti squash. 20 minutes-whole.
  18. LOVE my EM makeup! Even a dusting of finishing powder evens out my blotchy skin tones and makes me look feel like I look younger.
  19. I feel bad for a few hours
  20. Open Original Shared Link Hospitals voluntarily report data. Those that don't report aren't eligible for medicare (and ya gotta wonder why they aren't reporting).
  21. Actually I'll post it here. It seems like useful information. My niece broke her leg inner tubing and was taken to the emergency room, had surgery to implant pins, spent a couple days in the hospital, then went home. Although she was living with her dad, she was no longer on his insurance (too old). Because she had a minimum wage job, and no insurance...
  22. Nice that you get paid to have blood pressure. Judy, I'm pretty sure you're asking the wrong bunch of people about getting a life.
  23. "Sometimes we think we were paying attention in Medical School, but it was all in our head."
  24. Hang in there, and check back often. And don't ignore your depression. If you need to treat that, go to the ER. There are ways to get the charges written off if you can prove an inability to pay them.
