  1. I have been dying to see this forum about manners filled with unmannerly people! Thanks
  2. Hey, you waited. And people that haven't yet attained our level of health consciousness need some assistance.
  3. Open Original Shared Link no dose listed in abstract. Open Original Shared Link Also used in treatment of refractory sprue. No comment on the villi (or dosage). Not much info. I don't think it's thought to heal the villi, only to decrease the inflammation.
  4. No, of course not. It's their job to bring you a meal. If you want special treatment, plan ahead.
  5. Emily!! Keep the hired help under control!
  6. Dutifully checking in. Last week was not good, involving several meals out with friends (and many drinks), lots of potato chips, and not much exercise. When I went for my walk yesterday I realized I was pretty tired and was still a mile and a half from home, so I don't think I did myself any favors by slacking last week. Have completed this weeks shopping...
  7. The research it cites is 25 years old. I only found one recent article which combined prednisone with an additional drug to treat refractory sprue. Some healing of the villi was seen, but the people were on a gluten-free diet.
  8. Not a musical, although it has some great drag queen music numbers.
  9. If it's already set up, and you can wait it out, you may as well wait. At least it'll be one more thing you know about yourself.
  10. I suppose those could be contaminated, but probably only once in a while. Doesn't seem like they would cause constant problem. Try the corn. It turned out to be one of my big problems. I can eat a bit now, so I don't have to worry about corn cc.
  11. Bleach might unfold the protein (denature it) but it's unlikely to dissolve it to any degree unless you leave it on for a very long time (hours). The antibodies your body produces are to a small section of the protein (a chunk that's freed when you've partly digested it using the hydrochloric acid in your stomach (and some grinding)) and not to a full length...
  12. Rissa, I hope you get an answer from someone with experience, but it makes sense that your antibodies could be suppressed by steroids. Your intestine, however, would not look better. This doesn't mean that your tests would be positive, it just means they won't be negative because of the prednisone.
  13. I believe views are updated periodically, not in real-time.
  14. YAY Ashley!! For some states, yesterday was the last day to register to be able to vote in the upcoming presidential election. Other deadlines are coming up. Don't forget! If you miss the deadline, you won't be part of one of the most important elections in many decades!
  15. Just watched Open Original Shared Link. Great movie AND you get to learn how to say Nickerler's name!
  16.  Tom!! Let's here the moose hunt'n stories. Did you have to wear lipsticK??
  17. Some nuts are contaminated in the factory. What brand/type are you eating?
  18. You might want to consider cutting out some other big allergens, like corn and soy. Or post some things here that you are eating, maybe you aren't as gluten-free as you think.
  19. It could be that the glutened dish was only a sign and the crumbs were more extensively spread. Careless people tend to be careless about a lot of things. Seriously, we have enough people in our lives not believing we can get sick from food. The least we an do is believe each other.
  20. I don't find the thought of cancer scary, it isn't that big of a risk. I'd be more concerned about causing permanent nerve damage and spending the rest of my life in a wheel chair, or causing so much damage that my gut could never heal and I'd spend my life hooked up to an IV, or destroying my joints that I spend my life in pain, or some other lifelong...
  21. Do you really want to know this about your brother?
