    I second (fourth? fifth?) the elimination diet. I accidentally went soy free and felt so much better that I've started limiting a lot of other things as well.     For a properly controlled study you need 4 groups: +gluten, +drug -gluten, +drug +gluten, -drug -gluten, -drug They need to be able to show that the drug itself doesn't cause harm. Yes, this should have been tested in normals, but you can't compare a disease group (Celiac) to a normal population in terms of their reaction to a drug.

    I wonder if so many of us just get used to feeling like crap because of all the crap we eat (not just gluten). I didn't know how bad I felt until I didn't feel that bad any more.

    Paula, I am one of the non-religious types on this forum and have no problem with you, or anyone, asking for prayers. I interpret it as "good energy", which I am more than happy to direct your way. I also have no issues with a 'prayer thread', but a whole forum, I think, is not appropriate.
