  1. sigh ok, I am so not posting my weight. But I will say that my fantasy goal is to lose 40 lbs, reality goal is to lose 20. 10 of these I expect to be gone by the end of the month (stamping foot). So for still sticking to the fruit for breakfast, random lunch, veggies with dinner plan. A little to soon to claim actualy weight loss, but I'm hoping...
  2. Cash the check, hold onto the money, run up your credit cards on things like vet bills, declare bankruptcy -everything magically erased- then get the boob job with the cash. Or, even better, charge the boob job, then bankruptcy, then mad spending spree with cash.
  3. You're welcome to mine, but I'm afraid it resembles burnt oatmeal at the moment...
  4. I actually spend a lot of time putting this stuff on. i do a light dusting of mint to tone down the redness. Put a streak of yellow under my eyes to minimize the dark circles. Put light concealer all around my eyes to minimize more and prime my eyes for shadow. Put matte all over my face. Put two shades of shadow on my eyes (like to emphasize my eyes...
  5. Hi again all. I'm with LoneWolf - I gained back the ten pounds I had lost but I have a new strategy. Someone on a different thread said something that really struck a chord with me: "I finally feel good and I want to look good". And I though yeah, that's me. So since reading that I've been really careful with eating things I'm not very tolerant to...
  6. I'm curious what they're testing. If he's gluten-free, everything will be negative. If she's feeding him gluten, she's not doing him any favors...
  7. I also do the "Thank you, but I have multiple food allergies."
  8. This reminded me... A co-worker's brother-in-law decided to go gluten free and then challenge himself with gluten. I didn't get the details, but he ended up in the hospital. So what did he learn from this??? Never go gluten free again.
  9. You HAVE to try to have some fun. Maybe get a list of Hungarian cities and try to pronounce them.
  10. sigh I love all those things well, except for vacuuming
  11. OH OH!!! Science musicals!! Everyone start here: Open Original Shared Link (I am such a nerd)
  12. Oh come on! We can discuss the relative importance of kurtosis on interpretation of results and stuff
  13. hmmm, no science..... My goal for the coming current year is to learn biostatistics. Can I impose that?
  14. I had no problems. I ate mostly from the markets (fruits, veggies and cheese) but even the restaurants were pretty recepive to "no wheat". I also packed a bunch of bars but really, why munch on processed stuf when you have that big chunk of cheese in your pack?
  15. WOOOHOOOHOOOO!!! I'm envisioning a new crown made of pipets, with some sort of umbrella system to keep the rain off. Maybe a robe made of plastic biohazard bags??
  16. spurious post to flip the page before tom
  17. Kinda jealous of Suzies expected lightening storm. They are so much fun.
  18. Doesn't have what?? My cats came as a matched set: Samson and Delilah (I didn't name them). So, assuming Samson is still a boy, I now have Samson and Lyle. I feel like a commercial for some bizarre gay pet marriage group.
  19. Hi all, well, have some disturbing news to report. My cat, Delilah, ripped open an abcess on her face (beyond disgusting, although no where near 7 feet of tapeworm) so I took her to the vet. He took her into the back room to clean her up, and came back in a few mnutes later to say: You might want to think about changing the name because Delilah is, ...
  20. I saw a huge improvement in my health when I cut out soy. Now I also limit most grains and dairy as well. Even with limited foods I still feel even better when I eat all organic. Something about all the chemicals in/on our food.
  21. I love eggplant. grilled; brushed with oil and sprinkled with salt broiled; slice not too thick, drain (as above) or cook on a rack on a pan, broil one side, flip, put mozzarella cheese, tomato and garlic on it, bake until cheese is all bubbly. actual cooking time depends on how thick it's sliced
  22. As a random bit of info, there are groups investigating whether infecting someone that has IBS/IBD/Crohn's with intestinal parasites could convince the gut to convert from the autoimmune response (that's causing symptoms) to a parasitic response. Wonder how many 'normal' volunteers they get for those studies... <insert green guy emoticon>
  23. Love the Morocco! A bit intense for work so am wearing Oasis, which I also like (and a curse on whoever pointed out the 10 eyeshadow kit! May you feel compelled to purchase every color in the eyeshadow pallet)
  24. Do you not see that this is perfect for New Year Eve pictures? It's an artistic representation of how you all were feeling and all that.
