  1. Keep a bucket of chicken legs by the bedside for when he does this. might work with the cats, too
  2. Well thank heavens you came to your senses and moved back to the northwest. Welcome back to the rain
  3. Adorable!! And there's a translated version:
  4. hmmm, I like Chicago. But I felt this way ^ about Moulin Rouge, so I guess I can relate.
  5. I think you actually want to keep drinking.... Moderate amounts of alcohol raise the 'good' cholesterol.
  6. Mornin' all. And happy almost (or current?) New Year. I, um, own all the musicals mentioned so if anyone plans to torture Susie I would suggest kidnap and park her in front of my TV with some heinous musical playing And maybe Peter can explain to me why my cat feels like knocking me over in the kitchen is the best way to convince me he deserves...
  7. Yeah Patti get it right: worchestersire one 'H'
  8. mmmmmm anything that starts with half a pound of butter has to be good...
  9. WooooHooo!! A guy across the hall just came over to ask me what/where gluten free foods he should get for a friend coming to a dinner party! (I suggested Trader Joes and a new pot for the rice he's cooking) I guess being obnoxious about what you're eating at parties CAN make a difference.
  10. On the up side, some of us eventually became much less reactive (after a couple years).
  11. Lisa, I don't usually post on these 'support only' threads, but some of them I do follow. I, too, find it amazing that you've done so well with all that you've gone through. It's unfortunate that your face-to-face contacts have such a hard time believing in you, but ultimately it's belief in yourself that gets you through life. And you have shown,...
  12. Hi ladies (presumably). Got my trial stuff and tried it out this morning. This stuff does a great job covering up everything. So much so that I had to go back and add blush all over so I didn't look like the undead. Maybe I'll try a darker foundation... This is what I got * blush or face color: Snooze Bar 2.5g * concealer: Mint Color Corrector...
  13. I buy the costco brand. Its gluten-free and the first ingredients are all animal products
  14. "if you were as sick as I was you'd never eat gluten again" "that stuff acts just like poison in me" "sometimes I miss eating ______ but it's not worth feeling as bad as it makes me feel" I think you should be gentle but firm. Don't sound like you're waffling to protect someone's feelings. I personally don't bring up cancer because it's something...
  15. Someday remind me to tell you all about my neighbor who gets "inebriated" and pulls out the power tools. On the plus side, since his yard already looks fabulous, when he's really toasted he starts working on my yard. Which reminds me....must hide the chainsaws until after the holidays....
  16. Open Original Shared Link
  17. semi mythical anything that can down that much "cheer" and still be walking must have some sort of grounding in reality
  18. Hey Merry Christmas All!! I'm working, so I'm skipping the holidays this year. If anyone needs a repeat I'll be having a bash in February. BYOY
  19. I so don't believe that... unexpected bodily fluids have to be nasty however cute the body they came out of
  20. ok, that's a brilliant recipe. Did you invent that?
  21. Hi all Have a great bat story (opening the window to shoo one out is a good way to let more in), would love to tell you about the presents my second ex got me for Christmas ("I want this" "OK, what else do you want?") and I have a plethora of cut cat stories (stop mom in front of the treats by hurling your 15 pound furry body at her knees), but I'm having...
  22. Ok girly girls, (to quote cruelshoes) - based on the theory that 8 pages on makeup can't be wrong, I ordered some. I'm counting on you ladies to all have been telling the truth...
  23. A better way to think of this is: is anything less nutritious than white bread? Many gluten-free breads are made with whole grains, which, in general, are more nutritious than white flour.
  24. As if we all wouldn't hope for this sort of outcome for the obnoxious people in our lives. My first ex came back begging me for forgiveness, and I said, um, no. And then did the dance that Susie's probably doing now. Every once in a while the world turns appropriately
  25. OK all. So the yeti is fine. I've had his hair done to minimize any scorched patches and he's been buffed and brushed. His memory is a bit....fuzzy....about certain events (don't believe anything he says about chocolate sauce) but I think he sort of has a vague idea that things have been going well for him. He's gotten kind of pouty about all the...
