  1. Sounds normal to me. Many years ago, long before anyone ever talked about Celiac, I knew that wheat was kind of a problem for me and one of the ways I knew that was that if I wanted a nap I would make myself toast, guaranteed sleep. I think I know that kind of sleepiness even, it kind of just pulls you under.
  2. And I get that there are lots of people who would benefit from a drug given a lifetime of living one way, I hope that if they proceed with this it will genuinely help your dad. I simply fear that, given their track record, for all the benefits there may be a down side that could be prevented jus by our changing our mind about what we eat.
  3. Interesting, thanks for posting it. I won't be going anywhere near it. I have zero trust in them. I read recently that the original SCD (Dr.Haas)was used on Celiacs with great success many years ago but that at some point the shift was toward retricting gluten. 4. Hope you are doing well.

  5. Initially I thought I was a Celiac and only a Celiac because when I first became ill I learned that I have a sister with Celiac and since then a brother has been diagnosed with Celiac also. I now know that I am wheat intolerant and most likely Celiac but I also have Lyme Disease, diagnosed recently, and there is a real overlap of symptoms between the two...
  6. Is corn a problem for you? A lot of Vitamin C is derived from corn although I would think if it says no allergens it should be corn free. It might be worth checking out. I had a funny conversation with someone at a health food store yesterday when I told her I was looking for Vitamin C without corn she assured me that a particular brand didn't have...
  7. That is really odd, also odd is that last week I was looking at black lights which I've never done before and thinking about buying one although I couldn't think why so I didn't. I may just have to investigate this.
  8. I have heard that the Elisa test is not reliable and that the test to have is the Western Blot done through a lab in Palo Alto called IGeneX. I am currently using the Salt/Vitamin C treatment for Lyme as a diagnostic tool, if you want more information PM me. Lyme often affects the eyes, also many people find that most of their symptoms are on the left...
  9. I was told, by an Italian (don't know why that should make a difference though he clearly thought it did), that the combination of coffee and milk is hard on the liver and should be avoided. Have you tried drinking your coffee black? Sorry if I missed you saying whether or not you did. I have had to give up coffee too except for every now and then...
