  1. I am not sure where to post this but anyway. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem or they know what is wrong? Starteing back a little over 5 years ago when I was pregnent with my first daughter my hip would pop out of place when I laid down on my back but would go back in as soon as someone helped me up. I was told it was just due to my hips...
  2. Thanks for the reminder. I already threw out anything I knew was not ok as well as anything that was in a jar (hence anything you would put a knife into). I only kept the squeezy bottle stuff wich I checked the caps for any crumbs and then wiped them off....hopefully that is good enough. All we had left is what I listed. The rest we have to buy new because...
  3. Thanks guys!!! Everyone here is so helpful. Actually I donno how I would have done any of this without you guys!
  4. So can I assume that the kraft products that I have are safe to eat even if it says modified food starch as long as it doesn't say somthing like dirived from wheat behind it or somthing?
  5. Don't worry to much about long posts on here. I've done it myself. People on here are happy to help. It is hard to find a good doctor. I have been to our university hospital as has my daughter with no good answears. I have also gone to Mayo Clinic and only got a diagnosis of depression and IBS (a bunch of bull I have no found). Back in 8th grade (I...
  6. This week we are finaly going 100% gluten free! Said screw the docs as my daughter and I have already seen signifacant improvement being gluten light. I have cleaned out all the cuboards but I seem to have some condiments left in the fidge that I am unsure about. Some contain things like carmel color or modified food starch....I am also leary of things...
  7. The doc that I can't go to anymore becuase of insurance did do a thyroid test wich came back ok. I had a 1.82 and they say .34-5.60 are ok. Can these tests be wrong or inacurate? The test name was thyroid stim hormone.
  8. Unfortionantly the doctor who doesn't think I am nuts isn't covered under my insurance. I donno if I currently have actuall low temps. I have always had a problem with being cold when no one else is and have had cold hands and feet even in the summer. Another thing that keeps coming to mind is that about 6 years ago I took an anatomy and physiology class...
  9. After reading somthing somewhere on this site I looked up symptoms for hypothyroid and have found that I have every symptom listed on there. How many people have both this and celiacs.....is it comon? What to you do to treat it.....my regular doctor already thinks I am nuts. Any information on what to do about this would be helpful.
  10. Besides gluten I have problems with dairy and eggs. Actually I react worse to eggs than anything.
  11. We plan to go get new baking pans for cookies, breads, muffins and what not. We thought we might invest in those new silicone pans. They look great on tv but donno if what they show is correct. Has anyone used them? Are they any good? Are they worth the money? If you do use them have you had any problems baking gluten-free foods in them.....have you...
  12. Thanks guys! I will have to check the wagon wheels and see. Little Grace had shredded cheese since I always have some on hand and she LOVED it!
  13. That's a great question to ask. Some of us here including myself have had babies prematurly due to this disease. Our last daughter was born 3 months early......trust me that you want to prevent this if at all possible. I think your going the right route with getting some blood tests done. I would make sure that your things like iron and calcium levels...
  14. Thanks guys....sounds like some good ideas!
  15. I am having problems thinking of some good quick convienence foods for our 11 month old (8 months corrected age). We gave our older daughter allot of gerber products or quick desolving crackers but as we all know they seem to be full of gluten. I want things that she can feed to herself.....she has just started this so she needs things that desolve easily...
  16. Sounds great. I donno if we have that around here or not. Last year my hands were like yours and the entire suface of my hands were bleeding....I got to were I could barely move my hands or do much of anything. I found that Gold Bond Ultamate worked miricles on my hands very quickly but this lotion is the tickest lotion I have ever ran into. Although...
  17. My only guess but it's just a guess is that your stomach is absorbing them now and you are having a reaction to them. I have always had problems with these amung other medications making me sick. Some of them I can not tolerate at all but with some I can tolarate a somewhat upset tummy and to take the pill while eating somthing solid.
  18. Thanks guys! It nice to know that not everybody thinks I am nuts. I am lucky to have found this site and to have found a doctor who is educated and believes me. I have had what I believe is a positive diet response as explianed above. I think I am at least going to make sure nothing else is wrong.....I have suspected diabetes as well wich is very prevalent...
  19. I think Dr. Vernon is a great doctor and the most informed doctor I have yet to meet on the subject. He's also the first doctor out of about 15 docs over the years that didn't think I was either making things up or need to see a psyciatrist. He thinks it is celiac but also wants to know whats going on with the blood count and protien. He advised a scope...

  21. Really! I didn't even know that was possible. I have suspected a possible IgA deficiency but I don't think that would disterb the other tests done. The doctor wants me to have a biobsy. My husband just says go on the diet and so did my grandmother. I kinda want some concreat answears. I guess I donno whats best to do. Some of my family...
  22. It is possible to make your own cramb crackers. My grandma makes gluten free graham crackers for herself and one of her granddaughters. I tasted them and they were pretty good. She had used them in a cheese cake crust.
  23. Back in June when my tummy was really bad....I felt like throwing up constantly and was having allot of direah (not usual for me....I go back and forth but have always mostly been constapated). I went gluten free eating chicken, rice, peas, celary, peanut butter, and raisons. I only did this for about 36 hours because I was informed not to go gluten free...
  24. I got back my blood tests and most all seems fine they say. The celiac tests were neg and so were the thyroid ones. They said I have hi protien....what's that mean? And as usuall I have a high white cell count with no obvious explantations. For about 3 years I have had probably 50 blood tests with a high white cell count and antibiotics did very little...
