ARCHIVED My Baby Started Daycare Today
hannahsue01 replied to TinkerbellSwt's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
It can be very stressfull putting you baby in in daycare. They do grow up so fast. I used to do home daycare. It can take some kids a bit of time to adjust....especially with yours only going once a week. It can take a week or two for naps and the rutine to become normal in a full time child. If you have any concerns stop in at anytime unanounced to... -

I believe that you may get many different answears to your questions. I have heard that many people have done not much more than replacing there toaster to people replacing everything they own. We have two maybe three celiacs in the family and have chose to replace everything that wasn't glass, ceramic, or metal. We also replaced the metal sifter and... -

hannahsue01 posted a topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I have an unofficial diagnosis and two other family members have positive diagnosis. We have now had our 5 yr old daughter on a gluten-free diet since this past November. We almost immediatly saw improvment in her. The biggest of wich was a huge behavior improvment. She now has allot less conctapation. Isn't complaining of heart burn. Rarely complains... -

Diareah is not a requirement. My oldest daughter who is 5 had constipation for years. Our youngest who is 15 months has normal poop that gives her a bloody rash. She also spits up when getting glutened but never spits up any other time. I can't coment on him not eating as our baby has a feeding tube in her tummy and has never eatin more than a few oz... -
ARCHIVED Cheese Crust Pizza For Everyone
hannahsue01 replied to Tim Meyer's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
It's cool that if you can get them online. We are lucky enough to have many HyVee stores around us. We tried this pizza and it is awsome. We like the sausage best. The only down side was it doesn't fill you up as much as a normal pizza but it makes a great snack or part of a meal (maybe some good bread sticks or somthing to go with it). We have had some... -

My step-mom wants to get us some bread from a bakery. I see that allot of places ship. We don't seem to have a bakery near us without driving quite a few hours. We live in the midwest. Does anyone know of a really good bakery that makes delicious edible gluten-free bread? I have tried making some myself and have tried quite a few packaged breads but... -

hannahsue01 replied to betsy7's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
We use Similac Advance w/Iron (liquid concentrate) and we have been assured that it is gluten free. From what I have been told....most all infant formulas are gluten-free but I would contact the companies directly to be sure. We are currently using Pedia Sure wich I know is gluten-free but that is for older babies. I agree with the above and try to pump... -
ARCHIVED Scared About Miscarriages Due To Celiac
hannahsue01 replied to Nicole2's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
The prenatal vitiamens are very important. You need to stay gluten free no matter what. Eat healthy foods. There is some question on how long it takes to heal your stomach and what not....everyone heals at a different rate. I think you should talk to your doctor about getting pregnant. Some suggest waiting 6 months some a year before trying to have a... -

These are GREAT pizzas. We tried them as soon as we found out about them. Our favorite is the sausage. My non gluten-free husband loves these. Myself and my daughter who are gluten-free were thrilled to have found an edible pizza. HyVee is great around here about getting things in that you request and carries more gluten-free foods than the local health... -

I had allergy shots in the 8th grade back in 1997 I think. I got maybe six months into the series of shots and severly reacted to them with severe asthma attacks and they didn't give me any more shots. While on them and recieving what I did never seemd to make a difference in my reactions to anything but like I said I never finished the shots.

ARCHIVED Update On Mom Accused Of Msbp
hannahsue01 replied to concerned-mom061's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I'm so glad you got your little girl back. It had to be very hard having her taken away. It's terrible that the doctor knew what was wrong but still went ahead and did what he did. I luckly have never had either of my girls taken away. We were blamed for not feeding our oldest daughter who was 4 last year. She has always been well underwieght and started... -
I went to the dentis the other day for a cleaning. I did call in advance to make sure everything was gluten free. They didn't have any idea what celiac is. I did try to explain that it causes aborbtion issues. I asked if they thought this would explain why I have had so many cavities. I have had cavities every visit since I was a young child. I now...
