hannahsue01 replied to jknnej's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I would assume so. She throws up if she even gets a crumb of bread and I watched her eat it in a really good apple crisp recipe she made a few weeks ago and she was fine! -

hannahsue01 replied to purplemom's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I was informed that corn starch can have gluten in it. Same as spices they use it to keep it from clumping. I was told that the Argo brand corn starch is ok. -
My grandma makes a home made grahm cracker that is pretty good. She and one of her grandaughters eats them as crackers. I have yet to make them. She also crumbles them for pie crust. She also made chocalate ones and used them to make ice cream sandwiches.

ARCHIVED Family Not Believing W/o Dr Diagnosis
hannahsue01 replied to doulagrl's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Hang in there and do what you already seem to know is right. I had my baby at 29 weeks due to celiac. At the very least stay gluten free untill your baby is born for your babies sake. I have had problems through childhood myself and people thought I was putting on a show. I still am having problems convincing some people that this is the problem myself... -

My husband just got off the phone with one of there bakeries and she says they use a dedicated area and what not for these cakes. I do appreciate EVERYONES comments. I am greatful to this sight to be able to get help and opinions from other parents. I think everyone has different experiences at school. I think teachers don't see or know all that goes on during the school day as children try to avoid getting caught doing things to other children and the children being victamized often... -
