Okay, so it's still a little early for peaches, but peach season is just around the corner, and when it comes, one of my favorite things to make with peaches, especially early in the season, is a tasty peach crisp.

Like many people, I associate the holidays with delicious desserts and yummy baked goods. As a child, holidays meant ovens warming the house, delicious smells filling the rooms, countertops brimming with wonderful treats.

This recipe is gluten-free, vegan and dairy-free. I've combined fresh apples with KIND Healthy Grains Clusters that is filled with 100% whole grains like gluten-free oats, quinoa, amaranth and buckwheat. My clients who have young children love this recipe because it's easy and 1/2 store bought, 1/2 fresh! Enjoy.

Summer is winding down, and the first apples of the season are tight around the corner. I love apple desserts. I love baked apples, apple cobbler, apple streusel, and, of course, apple crisp. This recipe makes a delicious gluten-free apple crisp that will bring smiles all around the table. It tastes great on its own, or goes great with vanilla ice cream, or frozen yogurt.

After dinner at a local Mediterranean restaurant, the waitress suggested my friend and I try the farmer's market fresh lemon soufflé for dessert. What followed was nothing short of culinary bliss, with ooh's and ahh's over the sweet, airy, lemony, delight.

This is a recipe that you can't go wrong with. Easy to make, light and healthy, no refined sugar, gluten, eggs, or dairy. What a wonderful way to use all the berries that are popping up this summer. Try this recipe as it is written, or substitute with whatever berries are abundant in your area.

Fresh strawberry pie always reminds me of summer. Whenever I go into a grocery store and see those fresh strawberry pies sitting in the pastry case, I drool and of course, I keep walking. Finding a gluten-free strawberry pie is not easy, but the following recipe will make up for that as it is very easy to make. This strawberry pie recipe is a cinch to prepare, and I guarantee it will taste better than anything you can find at the store.

Gluten-Free Pavlova (photo courtesy of imcountingufoz)
Pavlova is a dessert with a meringue base that was created in honor of the ballet dancer Anna Pavlova when she was touring in New Zealand and Australia. The main ingredient  that separates pavlova from a normal meringue, is the addition of cornstarch and vinegar to the egg white mixture. The cornstarch, egg and vinegar creates a chemical reaction which results in a fluffy, marshmallow center.

Miss danish as a breakfast treat in your life? No longer! This recipe is surprisingly easy but made into pinwheels, blankets and envelope shapes, it looks very impressive and tastes even better! I've given recipes for cinnamon-apple filling and a cream cheese filling (dairy or non-dairy), but feel free to use fruit preserves or your own fillings instead.

Linzertorte -- or Linzer tart -- may be made into one large tart, several small ones or even sweet cookies. Whatever the presentation, what awaits your tastebuds is a light, crumbly, aromatic crust bursting with sweet berry filling!

A light, fruit-focused recipe that tastes great with whatever fresh fruit you have on hand! Video demonstration link included!

This yummy summer pie is deceptively healthy, packing loads of calcium, potassium, fiber and more, but your kids never need to know!

Complete directions for one of my favorite desserts, year-round. You can use any combination of seasonal fresh or frozen fruit to make this easy fruit crisp. Using mara harina corn flour simplifies having to use multiple gluten-free flours and starches, and the taste and texture are very good.
