Yesterday was good!

Celiac.com Sponsor (A13):
It was a nice day, andJace was so happy. He even won some awards for Grad.

I didnt have any cake/ cookies after and they had some almonds in candy thingy i had 2 and a glass of diluted ice tea.

At Benihanna I had white rice, and steak, I asked for no soy sause and Ice cream

so I was good. Almost - I had their salad and it had ginger dressing and I didnt think that would have soy sause and as I was eating it, the guy said, that has soy sause in it.......

Like why couldnt he mention it before I ate it and I have to learn to ask first the waiters first.

But today I am feeling better, not great but better.

Not all soy sauces have gluten. If you become familiar with the ones that are gluten-free, you can just ask what kind the restaurant uses. Or you can ask them to look at, or let you look at the ingredients on the bottle.

Thank you,
I know what kind they use, if and when I go there again, I will look for gluten free and bring it with me
but the food wasn't bad without it

Yeah, you can get by without soy sauce on some Oriental dishes. I usually get Kung Pao chicken at our local Chinese restaurant and I just order it with "white sauce". They know me now and always make it right. My son gets sweet and sour chicken, which doesn't have soy sauce, but he does have to order it without the batter (no fried chicken is what we tell them).
