Tim hortons now have gluten free coconut maccaroons, certified gluten-free by the Canadian celac association, kept in packets so no cc from Tim bits!!!!! By all accounts they re yummy!

I am admittedly not a big coconut fan but I didn't like them. They are basically coconut mixed with icinjg sugar (first two ingredients). I did bring them home and I think I will crumble them and spread them over a cake or something. Way too sweet for me. :blink:

 

I hope they try something else - how about a ginger snap or sugar cookie ? Coconut seems a weird choice since it's a love it or hate it flavor.

Guess they aren't yet brave enought to try gluten-free flours and see what turns out, plus coconut and sugar have a longer shelf life than gluten-free flour.

      Gluten free Yogurt suggest

      I would not think store bought yogurt would contain gluten unless it possibly could be through an added flavoring or coloring ingredient. Otherwise, it should be naturally gluten free. Keep in mind that some companies are capitalizing on people's fears and ignorance (nothing personal intended) by labeling foods "gluten free" that are just that way by...

      FDA looking for input on Celiac Gluten sensitivity labeling PLEASE READ and submit your suggestions

      I believe the GFCO does use a common logo for certified gluten free products (those containing not more that 10ppm of gluten) but nothing universal yet from the FDA for standard gluten free products (those containing not more that 20ppm).

      I have a One Pot and decided to start using it one day. I was hesitant at first making my own yogurt, but was surprised at how easy it was. I like mine better too.

      Because I spend so much time reading every word on all food packaging, I personally would greatly appreciate it if there was one common gluten-free symbol written in large-enough text, and always located in the same place. That alone will make shopping easier and faster. I dread having to buy packaged food. Thank you very much for asking,

      I do believe that people are under so much pressure up have a sleeping pattern , with working and how households work these days , but in reality there is no wrong or right at to sleep , I believe your neighbour showed this with such a long life , I do exactly the same at night many times so I hope I live into my nineties also , I have found one thing...

Otherwise, it should be naturally gluten free.  Keep in mind that some companies are capitalizing on people's fears and ignorance (nothing personal intended) by labeling foods "gluten free" that are just that way by the nature of what they are. They are hoping to create a marketing edge over their competitors by adding "gluten free" because they know it may catch attention of those new to the celiac/gluten sensitivity experience without having to cost them anything in the way of changing their manufacturing process or doing testing.
