It is most likely anxiety. What tests are you going to have...colon?

We have all been through this type of things. Just think you're on your way to healing by getting tested.

Good luck and let us know

Danijela -

Not sure if you'll get this during your prep, or after your tests -

Anyway,

I hated the prep for the endoscopy/colonoscopy - I threw up from it, and then I had to send my boyfriend out for more 'stuff' from the local pharmacy.

I got very little sleep that night, as I had to wait for the add'l stuff to work.

But, it was OK...

....your worst case scenario - you'll feel sick like I did, and you'll need to drink more.

But, it will be OK, even under the worst-case scenario...

just DON'T give up in the middle of your prep, though.

It's not worth having to start over...

Just keep your focus on the test being over.

Love, Gina

Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute. If you are interested in summaries of scientific publications on the topic of oats and celiac disease, we have an entire category dedicated to it which is here: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/oats-and-celiac-disease-are-they-gluten-free/
