Almost every gluten free product has corn in it. I'm starting to wonder if too much corn is making my toddlers constipation worse....Does anybody else have a prob with corn?

Yes, corn is gluten free. Some cannot have it because they are intolorent to it.

A good test for corn would be to eat it off the cob.

Maybe you could cut back on the gluten-free processed replacements until she heals?  They can have a lot of odd ingredients, like gums,  that many people find hard to digest.

I am intolerant to corn! It's evil and in everything. lol. I get pain with it, severe pain...I am a chronic D girl normally (colitis), so it doesn't give me C. I can't respond to that. But maybe cut out the processed stuff OR make your own gluten-free and corn free :)

Corn or rice or bean .. They use it to substitute I agree with everyone above. Try a more natural diet. Alot of fresh veggies are in season now :)

      Thank you this really helped.

Okay that is really good to know. So with that being positive and the other being high it makes sense she diagnosed her even without the endoscopy. So glad we caught it early. She had so many symptoms though that to me it was clear something was wrong.   yeah I think we had better test us and the other kids as well.

One doctor suggested it, but then seemed irritated when I asked follow-up questions. Oh well—

@GlorietaKaro, your respiratory reactions to gluten make me wonder if there might also be an allergic (anaphylaxis) component at work here.

Thanks to both of you for your responses!  Sadly, even after several years of very strict gluten avoidance, I remember the symptoms well enough that I am too frightened to risk a gluten challenge— heartbeat and breathing problems are scary— Scott, thank you for the specific information— I will call around in the new year to see if I can find anyone. In the meantime, I will carry on has I have been— it’s working! Thanks also for the validation— sometimes I just feel crushed by disbelief. Not enough to make me eat gluten though—
