I went gluten free 3 months ago, but every since I have been I've been feeling lightheaded, getting pressure in my head, headaches, feeling sick etc. at first I thought it was just the withdrawal symptoms but it's been 3 months so I don't know. I've been tested for blood sugars, my thyroids to see if that's causing my symptoms but it all came back clear.

So I'm thinking should I try introducing some gluten, to see if my symptoms go away?

Why did you go gluten free?  If you have Celiac disease, you can not eat gluten again.

Sometimes, when people cut out something that was a major part of their diet, things get out of whack.  Maybe they aren't eating as much fiber, or more fiber.  Maybe they aren't eating as much fat as they used to.  OR have added a lot of processed gluten-free cookies and breads that have an ingredient that bothers them.  That sort of thing.

Welcome to the board. If you are celiac also make sure that you are not getting cross contaminated. Check out the Newbie 101 thread to make sure you are doing all you need to keep yourself safe. For folks with celiac staying safe involves much more than just cutting gluten out of your diet unfortunately you also need to be concerned with how food is prepared, sharing condiments etc.

I went gluten free because I was having terrible stomach cramps and toilet issues for 3 days then I cut it out and I was better the next day! I've had problems with gluten in the past and I stopped for a few months then started again. But guess my body just had enough

Sorry to hear you are having these issues.  I went gluten free about 8 months ago due to a range of classic celiac symptoms for years (but don't have celiac disease diagnosis).   I still get some of the symptoms you described, especially the light headed feeling and pressure.  For me, it's usually worse after I eat breakfast (7am) until about noon.  I find that if I eat protein for breakfast, it helps.  I can't have eggs or gluten free oats but other things I eat for breakfast are cottage cheese, almond butter, greek yogurt, lean pork sausage, almond milk and cereal.  There are lots of options.  Just search for high protein low carb breakfast and see what you find.  The best advice I can give is keep experimenting with your diet (try eliminating a food group like dairy for a week or two) and see if you feel better.  Everyone is different so you just have to keep trying to find what works for you.

Didn't realise you could have pork sausages as the ones we get are made in wheat flour :( I feel the same too, I eat breakfast but I have to keep eating every 2 hours or I get the symptoms it's awful and I literally can't do anything as I keep having to eat. I've had all different blood tests but all clear

If you haven't had celiac testing it would be a good idea to go back on gluten for a bit and then get a complete celiac panel done.

Food poisoning or a virus would have also caused that type of issue and resolve on their own with in a couple days. It could be entirely a coincedence that it cleared up after you went gluten free for just a day.

Yes I thought that it might of just been a stomach bug and it cleared up. But I've had this in the past I would eat pasta and I would have terrible cramping, my stomach would go hard and bloat and I'd be in so much pain. I stopped for a few months then tried it again but it just came back!

They may want to also eliminate other possible causes for your symptoms/issues and are doing additional tests.  Here is info about blood tests for celiac disease--if positive an endoscopy where biopsies of your intestinal villi are taken to confirm is the typical follow up.

In the Europe the new protocol for making a celiac disease diagnosis in children is if their tTg-IgA (tissue transglutaminase IgA) levels are 10 times or above the positive level for celiac disease--and you are above that level. According to the latest research, if the blood test results are at certain high levels that range between 5-10 times the reference range for a positive celiac disease diagnosis, it may not be necessary to confirm the results using an endoscopy/biopsy: Blood Test Alone Can Diagnose Celiac Disease in Most Children and Adults TGA-IgA at or Above Five Times Normal Limit in Kids Indicates Celiac Disease in Nearly All Cases No More Biopsies to Diagnose Celiac Disease in Children! May I ask why you've had so many past tTg-IgA tests done, and many of them seem to have been done 3 times during short time intervals?

@JettaGirl, "Coeliac" is the British spelling of "celiac". Same disease.

This may sound ridiculous but is this supposed to say Celiacs? I looked up Coeliacs because you never know, there’s a lot of diseases related to a disease that they come up with similar names for. It’s probably meant to say Celiacs but I just wanted to confirm.

I was told it was to see how much damage has been caused. But just told CT with contrast not any other name for it.
