Starbucks Drinks

Hello!  It's that time of year when the pumpkin spice drinks come out!  I've looked on line and found nothing but conflicting reports about whether they are gluten free or not.  I know I can make my own, and I have, but it would be nice to be able to order one now and then.  My usual drink is a decaf soy latte iced, and while researching today, I read many reports about the soy milk containing gluten.  I've never had a problem with it, so I'm assuming it's ok.  There's so much misinformation out there that it's hard to weed through it sometimes.  Anyone drink pumpkin spice lattes or should I avoid this at all costs?

I saw an article that Starbucks has changed the ingredient from last year.  So last year's info won't apply.  Starbucks usually says to read the containers at the stores.

They do let you see the container if you ask them. They don't list any wheat ingredients on the soymilk container. I haven't checked it recently, but I've also never had a bad experience. You're gonna want to check the syrup though.

This kind of pertains to the thread:

What do you all normally order at Starbucks? Are any of the drinks completely gluten free? I've been ordering tea but mama needs some coffee!

Still new to all of this....

My usual order is a decaf soy latte either hot or iced.  I've loved them forever!

On that same forum, someone is now posting that Starbucks whip cream contains gluten.  Starbucks doesn't list their allergen ingredients on line, but I doubt that it does.  Does anyone know anything about this?  I'm dropping out of that forum; too much misinformation.

Which forum is that, Gilligan? If you'd rather not post it here could you PM me?

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
