Follow Up Endoscopy?

I have not intentionally consumed gluten since mid September 2014. However there have been some instances of cross-contamination with kitchen equipment. My question is, if I had an endoscopy done now, would it show if I'm getting cross-contaminated? Or would the damage from cross-contamination be too patchy? I've been having a return of symptoms and I just wonder if the endoscopy would be able to show if I'm getting long term low-grade gluten exposure or not...

I don't know if the endo would show anything celiac wise. It could show other issues if they are present though.  Did you have the DGP tests at diagnosis? If so from what I understand that would be more likely to show if you are getting regularly CC'd.

I have been gluten-free since 4/2013 but became ill this past July. My GI ran the complete set of celiac disease blood tests before we started looking at other possible issues (SIBO, bile duct, etc). Got a positive (high). Now trying to determine what was glutening me. We suspect a prescription drug or one product that only I use since my husband did not get sick (he has been gluten-free since 2001). We think that I was getting daily doses in order for my DPG result to be so high and both of those suspected items were used daily. That glutening put me back to square 1 which has been really frustrating!

Take the blood test first and then go from there.

GliadinX is such a product and many/some report it really helps. In the interest of disclosure, the company that produces it is one of our sponsors.

Occasionally eating out in restaurants means that there is potential cross contamination in spite of ordering a gluten free dish. What enzyme supplements can the forum recommend that would help with potential cross contamination? Something I could take before I start eating. I used to order Wheat Rescue from Microbiome lab, but it is not available anymore.

Hi  - Anyone have any experience with these? I bought them at Costco thinking they must be gluten-free, but now I see Natural Flavors and Spice in the ingredients. There's no Gluten Free labeling. However the Costco site and two other sites say it's gluten free. Anyone know?

Yes, I doubt you can find a perfectly safe restaurant--perhaps a dedicated gluten-free restaurant, but in general, very few of them exist, and they tend to be in larger cities. Super sensitive celiacs should probably just avoid eating out.
