Gluten Challenge

Do you think doing a Gluten Challenge is worth it to get diagnosed?  What is your experience with the challenge?  Right now  I am very sensitive and think doing the challenge would be unpleasant to say the least.  How long do you have to do the challenge before testing?  If you point me to other threads about the same topic that would be great, too.

Hi Queeno, welcome!

If you do a search on gluten challenge you will find plenty.

If you truly believe you might have celiac disease, then I'd say a gluten challenge is worth it because your health is important.

I suspect I have a problem with gluten, so I went through with the endoscopy.  He did numerous biopsies and tested for celiac as well as other conditions/disease.  I hear back in three weeks. My GI said even if a person does not have celiac disease they can have a sensitivity to gluten.  I am pretty sure that is part of my problem, though there might be more going on.
