First Week Gluten Free

I'm in my 1st week of being gluten free. So far lots of changes, not sure if they are for the better yet, but feeling hopeful.

The Good: My DH has decreased significantly already, my gut isn't hurting like it was.

The Not-So-Good: Gluten withdrawl isn't pleasant, horrible insomnia, constipation.

Overall feeling optimistic though. Not only about being gluten-free but about the positive effects being gluten-free will have on my health in general.

Hang in there.  It gets better.  Everyone is different.  For me, after 3 days I felt wonderful.  I literally glowed with well being.   But others take awhile.  Give yourself at least 30 days.  But know you are improving your life.  I could not imagine going back to the pain, depression and brain fog of my pre-gluten-free days.

It gets better. Your body will adjust to it in time. It's not easy but it's sooooo worth it!

Your response on this matter is what I expect. You’ve had a similar episode years ago, but this one is lasting longer!

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?

Thank you for the links to the articles.  Interesting reading. I'll be telling my brother in law because he has a lot of pain
