Rice Dream milk

I know that there was a lot of information a few years back on this milk indicating that it was not gluten free.  I am having difficulty with digesting other milks and was wondering if it is affecting anyone negatively now.  Hoping not. Not sure why they still advertise gluten-free if it is not.  I can't find any other brands locally.  Please let me know of gluten-free good quality rice milk if this one is not gluten free.  Thanks!

They say they test for gluten.  I would use it.

I would trust it but, rice milk is really thin, it does not work in baking as a milk alternative very well either. -_- I recently had a issue with hemp milk and can tell you none of them seem safe. I use almond and cashew milks from 2 different companies (HEB, Almond Breeze), and Flax Milk from Good Karma. Elmhurst Harvest did have pistachio, walnut, and almond milks but pulled their lines and will be bringing them back next year.

I looooove Rice Dream, but my digestion hates it so I've switched to Almond milk although that's not perfect with my digestion either ? It's not a Celiac reaction, more like a sensitivity which I've heard from multiple people about rice milk. Hope you find one that's ok for you! If so please share, I may give it a try ?

I would recommend not using Rice Dream.  Years ago they listed a small amount of barley as one of their ingredients.  They no longer list this as an ingredient and thus tests gluten free.  Some sensitive people may be reacting to this.

Sorry.  I don't understand this logic.  I can't imagine that some left-over barley, from years ago, might still be in the machines glutening the product.  Even assuming they are actually using all the same machines, and never cleaned them, it must have washed out by now?   Plus, they say they test for gluten.

      Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic.       Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce. Something is making my pain so much worse I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs. Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever...

In other words, she accused me of lying and committing fraud... over $50! Please be careful with your orders and purchases here.

We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding
