Casein Linked To Cancer

I just ran into this article on the effects of whey vs casein. It's quite interesting - or alarming, depending on how you look at it.

Casein/animal based protein was discussed on national radio last night, including a correlation to auto-immune diseases:

Here's some additional stuff about casein and what it apparently does to the body:

So it seems no matter what is used, whether it be soy, whey, casein, etc, there's something bad about it. Plain olive oil is looking better all the time.

Ahh... "The China Study." I have this book - fascinating and truly well researched. Look at it on Amazon or consider checking if out from the library. (Warning! It does tell you to become a total vegan! But most of the problems that it associated from "animal protein" is specifically casein, so who knows about chicken or fish ;))

Good book though. Def. worth reading.

Interesting, when I suffered for a few months with ectopics I noticed that carbohydrates would cause indigestion and bloating in my stomach, then that would lead to my heart skipping beats, and I could feel it in my throat, it was very unsettling.  My last serious bout of this was after eating a Muller Rice Pudding for breakfast.   I happened to be wearing a 48 hour halter at the time and cardiology picked it up, but they weren't worried about what they saw. There was some British doctor who'd made some videos on the Vagus nerve that I remember watching at the time which made sense of what I was experiencing, there did seem to be some sort of connection.

I asked my cardiologist about stopping vitamins.  He said his tests account for all detectable vitamins from sources other than food.  I only need to stop them for a couple of days.  He has me keep records of meds and vitamins I've ingested over the past 10 days and prior and he does his calculations.

Reply to treats I try and eat to bring up the glucose. Sometime I get up 3 times a night and eat something. I don't think food is the issue. A lot of the food they say should help doesn't.  Many mornings my level is 59 and I feel sick, sometimes for hours. It has been recommended I go to an Endocrinologist.
