Should be, really depends on the company making it. I know both brands I have taken over the past month or so do not cause any gluten reactions (dealing with a abscess) NOTE it does cause nausea and can cause gas issues ESPECIALLY on a empty stomach.

Teva is an approved amoxicillin.  Ask your  pharmacist to order or be like me and call 6 pharmacies before you find it in stock (found at small independent pharmacy).  The price reasonable (less than  $25).  My regular pharmacy was going to order it, but I need the drug fast.  Like Ennis, I had a tooth infection.  

My pharmacist does not always have time to check my medication, so I do it.  I call the drug company.  As long as the ingredients are verified as gluten-free, I am happy.   I also have the doctor write "must be gluten free" on the prescription.  If I do not have time or am really sick, I use this list and insist on only those drugs on the list.

Teva is a great company for gluten-free drugs.  I have used their Z Pak before, which is Azythromycin, I believe, and never had any issues with it so I stick with Teva brand.  They are an Israeli company.

Yes, we have been aware that this can be an issue with mushrooms but as long as they are rinsed thoroughly it should not be a problem since the mushrooms don't actually incorporate the gluten into their cellular structure. For the same reason, one needs to be careful when buying aged cheeses and products containing yeast because of the fact that they are sometimes cultured on gluten-containing substrate.

      The one kind of food I had been buying and eating without any worry for hidden gluten were unprocessed veggies. Well, yesterday I discovered yet another pitfall: cultivated mushrooms. I tried some new ones, Shimeji to be precise (used in many asian soup and rice dishes). Later, at home, I was taking a closer look at the product: the mushrooms were growing from a visible layer of shredded cereals that had not been removed. After a quick web research I learned that these mushrooms are commonly cultivated on a cereal-based medium like wheat bran. I hope that info his helpful to someone.
