Numbness

Hello me again,

Ok so I am starting to feel better, however out of the blue tonight the tops of my arms and the tops of my feet are numb, Not painful or anything just plain strange. Has this happened to anyone else, I have been gluten free for about 4 weeks now and I am taking B12 Methylcobalmin 5000mg. It has helped with most of the muscle pains and anxiety as well. Any ideas would be helpful about the numbness

Again a full spectrum B-vitamins and magnesium, they all work together. -_- Unsure about just the tops but I have a a numbness in my feet and hands from gluten ataxia. It caused nerve damage which is really slow to heal. >.< I hit something this last week with my right foot and peeled off the nail on the second to the outside toe (Ring Toe?) and do not feel a thing with it. Sorta funny thing with this numbness. Scary at times, but thankful at others.

Hi Freesa,

I get numb mostly my upper left arm and my big toes on each foot with gluten and fall out  from gluten.

20 years ago of course before I knew of my issues I had a wonderful chiropractor who told me about Epsom salt baths. Prior to that I always loved baths but never took an Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) bath. Once I tried them I was hooked. No matter what my ails if I can I jump in. My aches, muscles, and nerves (weather firing or numb)

I find a soak in Epsom gives me comfort and a dose of needed magnesium.

If you like a soak once in a while you may want to give it a try.

Found this article about hypocalcaemia (low calcium levels) causing numbness and tingling in the shoulders.

Might be worthwhile to get vitamin and mineral levels checked by a physician.

Hope this helps.

"Conclusions: The urinary iodine level was significantly lower in women with postmenopausal osteoporosis, and iodine replacement may be important in preventing osteoporosis"  Body iodine status in women with postmenopausal osteoporosis Low iodine can cause thyroid problems, but Iodine deficiency will not show up in thyroid tests.  Iodine is important for healing, its job is to kill off defective and aging cells (Apoptosis). Skin, brain fog, nails, muscle tone all inproved when I started taking 600 mcg (RDA 150 - 1000 mcg) of Liquid Iodine drops. Some with dermatitis herpetiformis, Iodine exacerbates the rash.  I started at 1 drop (50 mcg) and worked up to 12 drops, but I don't have dermatitis herpetiformis.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and I found myself giggling with happiness as I read how your body reached such spring! And I hope that your current journey is also successful!! Definitely starting the food diary! So many amazing advices. And it’s very scary. It really hits all our soft spots as well as our confidence system. Most doctors I went thought I was underage despite being in my late 20s. Right now I look like am I twelve, but is also this body that’s taking so much, so I might as well love it too! Going to make the necessary changes and stay in this path. Thank you again! 🫶

Thank you so much for the information and kind message! Reading this transformed how I’ve been viewing my efforts and progress. Guess there’s still a lot to celebrate and also heal 😌  Yes, I’ve been taking it! Just recently started taking a multivitamin supplement and separated vitamin D! I also took chewable Iron polymaltose for ferritin deficiency 2 months ago but was unable to absorb any of it.  Thank you again! Hearing such gentle words from the community makes my body and heart more patient and excited for the future.
